MAD Z Productions is proud to announce its next thrilling horror project: the gruesome occult thriller The Devil’s Nightmare, a remake of Jean Brismee’s Belgian/Italian film from 1971 (not released in America until 1974 and alternately titled La plus longue nuit du diable, Castle of Death, La terrificante notte del demonio and Succubus).
Dr. Henry Rhoneberg has developed an experimental technique to completely cure people of the vices that rule their lives and has gathered a motley assortment of addicts – from an easily angered alcoholic to a rock star with a love for excess (is there any other kind?) – to a remote facility for treatment. No sooner does the group settle in before interpersonal relationships begin to conflict, people fall into bed, a mysterious stranger arrives at the door…and then the killing starts…
We are now in pre-production on our second feature length production, but in order to bring it to life, we need your help. We've got a fantastic, intense thriller of a script, Hi-Def cameras and enormous talent. David Zagorski is a successful screenwriter, with several produced screenplays to his credit. He has written, directed and produced his own webseries "Without You" and most recently the feature length thriller "Killing Brooke". Director of Photography Jared Skolnick is the director of the award winning short "The Music of Erich Zann" and has a tremendous eye behind the camera. Co-Producer Johnny Donaldson also served as co-producer for "Killing Brooke" as well as appearing as the homicidal "Rory". Kt Baldassaro, Camee Manderfield, Dina Baker and Colin Allen have acted in numerous plays, shorts, and several of Zagorski's other projects. Ray Hryb has appeared on "All My Children" and starred in numerous indie film productions. Together, the cast and crew are seasoned pros in over 100 projects. Genre vet Seregon O’Dassey (False Face, Cleric), an actress and model, essays the role of Lisa, the succubus.
"Horror Barbie" and scream queen Devanny Pinn (15 Till Midnight, Nude Nuns with Big Guns) also appears as "Satan".
The cost of The Devil's Nightmare includes renting locations, talent costs, insurance and most especially, FX. (Because what's a good horror movie without awesome FX?)
Our goal is to create a film that is intense and fun to watch; an improvement upon the original; amass attention in the festival circuit and ultimately, achieve worldwide distribution and sell the project.
The Devil's Nightmare is a well written, genuinely scary horror movie, which promises lots of blood, gore and sex...but only with your help.
