One more thing. Open the Backers page and roll down to the end, you will see almost all the 40 most recent backers joined December and back on Rock only. That also means something.

backers beware, this is what you're buying when you back this project:
      http://neuwatch.en.alibaba.com/product/855735871-0/2013_latest_Android_4_0_smart_gadget_watch.html
      This is a scam!!!

    3. Creator Tira Rainer on December 7, 2013

@Vak to be more specific find Antutu Benchmark on Google Play store I think it is the best for testing specs.

    4. Creator Tira Rainer on December 7, 2013

@Anurag Gupta all this campaign really turn a scam.... 4GB of Ram ? hahahahaha.
@Vak if you have a watch that run on Android and have 4GB of ram like you are pretending why you are not doing a Benchmark test ?
I am sure like always you will not answer to my questions, but hope backers will re post it because this is the key to know really the specs!!
If you dont know how to do that I will explain you :
You enter in the Google Play Store, Type Benchmark and download any Benchmark you will want, install it and after open and run a test, make pictures of the test so all the backers can understand that you are joking on everyone!!!!!!

one more thing does this THING will work without Wifi ??? (apps like Facebook, Twitter, ,etc)

    6. Creator Anurag on December 7, 2013

      Just cut the crap #Vak
I am anyways NOT interested in your fake watch, I just warning all so that people don't waste their money and you never answered any questions?

YOUR ANSWERS (my comments in bracket)
      - CPU is a ARM as communicated in video. (ARM your right arm or left be specific)
      - Operating system is Android, as communicated in video. (1.5 is android and 4.4.1 is also android)
      - Our manufacturing partners indicated that metal body will affect Wifi signal, but the rock metal unit has been designed to eliminate that problem. (How?)
      - Our memory is 4 GB Rom and 4 GB Ram (4GM RAM, can you into Setting and put snapshot here)
      - The Rock does not have 1080p HD. (I know its very poor screen)
      - We are water resistant for the mass market, not water proof for specialty sports (I know cheap product cannot be water proof)
      - Battery is 300 - 400 mAH (and it will last 100-150 hours while its switched off??)

I know everything about KS projects, your is not KS project its BS project (BS stands for BullShit)

      Hi Kickstarter Backers

Thank you for the hundreds of emails of encouragement and suggestions for the Rock smartwatch.

Since we our still in the development phase, we love the great suggestions so many of you have provided.

We plan on reviewing and implementing many of the suggestions.

The Kickstarter backers our a great community of backers providing encouragement to entrepreneurs that take huge risks, to try and bring new innovation to the market.

Thanks Backers we will not let you down

    8. Creator Vak Sambath on December 7, 2013

      Sean,

We have already funded the apps, patents and features, which was very time consuming and expensive, in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Development is expensive by itself, combined with manufacture startup the cost is very high.

So the Kickstarter platform is perfect to go from development to manufacturing.

      Thanks Vak

    9. Creator Sean Houlihane on December 7, 2013

oh, and 4GB ram - what are you paying for that, for laughs? and how much power does it draw? You know how much RAM the note3 has ,right? (or you can go and look...)

    10. Creator Vak Sambath on December 7, 2013

      Atul

We have several patents that are pending, as well as granted. We have expert partners in apps, hardware , design and attorneys that deal with our technology.

You were receptive and satisfied to contact our company link to verify the patents, which many companies would not accommodate.

Since we are very confident of our campaign information, experts in that specific area can best accommodate you without jeopardizing our proprietary protection.

Kicksatrter and 99% trust the information in our campaign, please provide your information to our link.

      Thanks Vak

@Vak Okay, yes i did state in my comment that the funds go to the apps, not the hardware.. But could you give some details about how your Drag and drop app (portal App ) and Rockin '9 work.
The sooner these details come out, the sooner backers here can actually deliberate on the product (in this case Pyntails apps) and not anything else..
Yes i see over 300 people, but to those who care about the actualities, not because it looks cool, and it is one of a kind and are not carried away by buzzwords (and hence end up backing it).. Some logic dictates that the description only gives words and a lot of them.. But no actual details.

    12. Creator Sean Houlihane on December 7, 2013

To anyone thinking of backing at anything over the $1 level - think what you will do when a $30 Z3 turns up (if youre lucky) running an imitation android interface - I think you've all seen the cheap phones on ebay that look like top of the range products, and understand that there are few guarantees with kickstarter.
To Vak -clearly you know nothing about the hardware, or the costs involved with development. We all know that the $50k project goal is not enough to fund anything like what you are offering. However, you claim to have already spent $500k, so what are you doing here on kickstarter? Ask your corporate backer to fund a production run, and flog them on ebay... Some people already got a Z3, and I don't think they were impressed (otherwise we'd all have them).

    13. Creator Vak Sambath on December 7, 2013

      Deze,

We appreciate your need as a Technology guy that wants alot more information about the hardware.

We spent the majority of our funds and time on apps and features.

Innovative enough to patent and getting alot of excitement from media, kickstarter, over 300 backers and experts in retail

      thanks Vak

    14. Creator AtulK on December 7, 2013

Lets ***NOT jeopardize it… sorry for typo

    15. Creator AtulK on December 7, 2013

      Vak,

I know how patents work and FYI if the patent has been GRANTED to you no way anyone can steal the idea. Because then it becomes illegal act for which legal system is there to dealt with.
All we asked for was if you have PATENTS been granted share the info. If sharing Patent info was that confidential them Companies don't had flaunted their Patent numbers on their websites.
So please let's use this forum to help all. Kickstarter is a platform for all and let's jeopardize by dividing this on the basis of Technical Knowledge or start-ups. We Backers are here to support the project and not shoot it down.

    16. Creator Vak Sambath on December 7, 2013

      Deze,

Actually Anurag confirmed in his comment that there is a prototypes in the video and confirmed by Kickstarter, Anurag and over 300 backers.

      Atul,

You had indicated that you wanted confirmation of our proprietary information, that cannot be publicly disclosed.

I am sure with you business experience, you can understand and appreciate the hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on apps and patents and the need for confidentiality from competitors.

You can than appreciate our desire to accommodate your request, which can be confirmed by professional experts and still protect the companies assets and investment.

      Thanks Vak

    19. Creator Deze man on December 7, 2013

Vak (or @Vakster from twitter) Couple of things, i dont know where you learn't this way of luring consumers (or backers) its not a nice way. I really hoped that what you actually advertised (or showed us) in the project page is what we get. then came the days when knock-offs started rising...
I still can't believe, that after a week into the project, you still haven't (or as you say my technical staff traveling) got to answering simpler questions.
You haven't shown us a prototype (yeah i have seen one on your hand, but how do i know that's Rock or not).
You haven't even bothered to explain how the mass market watch is different from the rest (i saw your chart comparing it with others with a lot of fluff in Rock)..
You did finally clear the ambiguity that the hardware is not yours (as was quoted earlier in the project page). But still you are talking about mass-market satisfaction with one of a kind smartwatch, with specifications and details which a mildly technical person like me, can easily see why it isn't plausible.
And again quoting your mass market concern, you are just using BAD PR.
You are just feeding on our frustration, to make you frustrated.. Come with some demo's answers and MANY WHY's to why this better, why this is different from Z3, why this is not a off the shelf watch(smart), Why even after a week into the campaign you have tried your best only to spam us rather than answering pertinent questions...
Either you just picked the wrong time to launch the project (if that's true) or you just have no idea about the project at all (and the people behind it are using you as a smiling poster boy).

Please dont bother about what emails someone else sent you, Show us RAW DETAILS.. Not fluff and SPAM... You are just making the experience irritating for a lot of people.. The sooner you come with details, the sooner we know whether this is an actual project and not a smart-watch from Uplay (you are selling to us with the additional fluff).
We are truly disappointed by the way you have been handling things so far, not professional in any way....

Oh yeah and last thing, as you say, your product is primarily the APPS, we like to hear from PYNTAIL and not you (i know you are one of them, but you have no idea so far, and I don't expect better answers). So Pyntail should clarify what this product is about..... NOT YOU ...

    20. Creator J on December 7, 2013

      Hey Stephen,

What if Vak actually delivers the product to us backers? Are you going to be liable for your libelous claims?

It's easy to call something a scam but it's hard to actually pursue your dream and deliver something promising. All of us are just spectators.. I wouldn't use the term scam so loosely..

    21. Creator Stephen Mitchell on December 7, 2013

My guess is that he's going to flood the comments section with false emails to push ours down to draw in new backers who have no clue as to what's going on here. I think this is actually going to go down as one of KickStarters most successful SCAM.

    22. Creator Vak Sambath on December 7, 2013

      Hi Olive,

Kickstarter has reviewed the information and over 300 backers, that are satisfied with our responses, apparently your more technology oriented than the average consumer and want a smartwatch that is not app innovative, but hardware oriented.

Mass market is the majority of hardworking consumers, that want affordability and convenience as communicated by many Technology reviews.

    23. Creator J on December 7, 2013

I'm so sick of this cyber bullying thing.. can we just stop this.. and move on? It's becoming a forum of one upmanship.. Why is there so much hate? Let the product speak for itself.. who cares about the intricate hardware stuff.. the general consumers care more about the features and functionality.. as long as it works and it's cool.. I don't have problems with the product..

    24. Creator AtulK on December 7, 2013

Vak: Enough of your LEGAL email replies… don't try to threat anyone by posing your Lawyers will contact us. If any one doing legitimate thing here is Only us Backers, not you.

      Hi Anurag,

Your comment is a copy and paste. Your apparently not familiar with the kickstarter model that the products are PROTOTYPES and pledge funds are used to go from PROTOTYPE to final product.

You indicated that you were a long term Kickstarter supporter, I'm surprised that your not familiar with the Kickstrter concept and how iit works.

We have already addressed your questions, but for your convenience we have copy and paste info below:

The hardware was carefully chosen by are engineers, below are the responses to the comments:

      - CPU is a ARM as communicated in video.

      - Operating system is Android, as communicated in video.

      - Our manufacturing partners indicated that metal body will affect Wifi signal, but the rock metal unit has been designed to eliminate that problem.

      - Our memory is 4 GB Rom and 4 GB Ram

      - The Rock does not have 1080p HD.

      - We are water resistant for the mass market, not water proof for specialty sports

      - Battery is 300 - 400 mAH

    26. Creator AtulK on December 7, 2013

Vak: Thank you for acknowledging my technical skills… But as a community member of Kickstarter I will not allow person like you to Steal money from all others.
In your last comment you have yourself agreed that this piece of metal your are trying sell to the Community is not high on hardware… THAT'S WHAT MY POINT IS… you are trying rob us by offering a piece of metal WHICH IS NOT A SINGLE PENNY.

    27. Creator Clive Patmore on December 7, 2013

      Hi VakVak
I would like to comment on your update
CPU is a ARM as communicated in video.

      - Operating system is Android, as communicated in video.
As a backer or a consumer I want to know what version
      - We are water resistant for the mass market, not water proof for specialty sportssports
I need to know what you mean by mass market. Is it slash proof or ATM level?
Also what tests and proof you will provide
I have followed this forum from the start and you have consistently failed to respond to any direct questions relating to the specification of the watch!
You do not have to be tech savvy to expect basic product information on something you wish to be involved in.
The backers do not need evidence of other backer emails what we need is the information about the product. None of the questions that have been asked are requesting confidential information only what you would expect.
      Please just provide the information!!!

With over 300 backers, 99% have contacted us with great encouragement that finally there is a smartwach they can understand and more directed to their lifestyle, not alot of technology hardware information, but more new innovation that they can see and touch, instead of hidden in a square CPU.

Over the weekend we will begin posting their emails so the Kickstarter consumer has a better overview what the majority like and real questions that pertain to the rock.

      Thanks Vak

    31. Creator Vak Sambath on December 7, 2013

      Atul

We will definitely be in contact with you to resolve any concerns.

As mention the majority of consumers want to understand this new smartwatch direction that is not hardware heavy, but more innovative apps and convenience features.

You are obvious a very high tech guy, not the average person consumer that wants convenience and affordability.

With today's economic environment many cannot afford a $300 or $400 smartwatch like yourself. and other high technology consumers.

The Rock is hoping to accommodate the hardworking consumers that want a smartwatch but do not have the financial abilities as you do.

Thanks Vak, we will definitely be in contact with you and I hope to meet you personally soon

    32. Creator Vak Sambath on December 7, 2013

      Hi Kickstarter Backers,

We appreciate kickstarter for allowing small companies to enter new markets with new ideas, that may not be popular with a small sector that does not like change.

The rock is taking a more innovative approach that some may find hard to understand since it is a new direction.

Thanks to the majority of kickstarter supporters innovation is possible

The Rock is a $300 high end app smartwatch with patented features for the mass market as oppose to a $300 hardware smartwatch with generic apps. We wanted to take a new direction in the smart watch market, that was more consumer friendly and provide real lifestyle solutions.

    42. Creator Vak Sambath on December 7, 2013

Most of our staff were still traveling back from the holidays over the last few days, below is the information requested :

The majority of rock R&D funds and time were not directed towards hardware, but innovative software apps, lifestyle technology and patents, costing almost $500,000.

The average costs for patents, software development for apps, and testing. That's the majority of our R&D.

We have several OEM private-label partners in China and the United States, but our patented technology is proprietary only to The Rock which cannot be obtained with any other smart watch in the market. We work with our partners to create a product provides us a platform for software development.

We are not a $300 high end smart watch with generic apps that goes 50 ft under water. We are actually a $300 smart watch with high end apps, patents and lifestyle features for the mass market with good functional hardware.

      And.. Regarding update 6:

And.. Another BS update. Non real hardware info (ARM is an architecture, what kind of ARM processor?), 4GB RAM is as ridiculous as ever, battery capacity of 300-400mah is a joke (half the capacity of Pine or Gear), metal body which has no way of getting proper wifi/bluetooth signal (so your crappy Z3 manufacturer solved a problem no other electronics giant ever managed to solve? Aha). and greatest of all - You finally admityou developed no watch and have no clue about hardware - You just buy cheap crappy chinese watches and add some mystery apps to them (never really shown in this campaign). In other words - All you do in this campaigb is marketing, and shady marketing at that.
Amazed KS allows this project to stay here.
