About

The Story

Meet Andy. A biker with a passion for music and personal expression, he lives and breaths for his family. That is, until a tragic accident that killed his wife and son, leaves him with the inability to form new memories.

Forced to move in with his father-in-law, a man tortured by the fact that Andy survived and his daughter didn't, he must re-live the horrible truth of his family's demise every day. Conservative clothing and a lonely existence now cover up the man Andy once was.

Andy's only coping mechanisms are a daily routine guided by a series of notes, and his daughter, Jane. Seemingly content with their day to day life, everything begins to unravel when a local coffee shop worker decides to stop the flow.

This psychological drama puts you in the mindset of a man who lives in the past. He invites you to experience what it would be like to live every moment like a brand new experience and begs the question, how do you move on when you can't remember to?

The Project

We are a group of filmmakers, passionate and dedicated to making quality films for people to relate to and enjoy. Character is a huge part of our focus, and with your help, we can bring these characters that we have grown so fond of to life!

The trailer above was created to give you a little taste of what our film is about, in the hopes that you will be interested, intrigued, and drawn to seeing the finished product!

To make 'Consistency' a reality, we need your pledge to help raise $5000. This will cover:

  • Paying our cast and crew (this is a huge deal for us, as we have some extremely talented people coming on board and would like to compensate them for their time and energy)
  • Equipment rentals (a good story deserves to look just as good)
  • Art Direction (creating Andy's world wouldn't be complete without wardrobe, make-up, sets, props and all the other goodies that transform a normal world into Andy's world)
  • Production costs (a well fed crew is a happy crew, not to mention an insured one)
  • Post Production (music, color correction, all the things needed to take this project to the next level and ready for festival submission)

Without your help this project will not be possible! Be a part of making it a success by taking advantage of our special rewards through donating, share this page with your friends and family, and follow us on Facebook to keep updated!  www.facebook.com/consistencyshort

The People

Brittany Piche - Writer/Producer

Hi! My name is Brittany Piche. I am the writer and Producer of the short film ‘Consistency’. Born and raised in San Diego, California, my passion for film began to stem from my love of seeing characters on paper become pictures on the screen. Starting my writing career in Junior High, I extended my skills into production, where I was a part of the news station for my local High School. Since that time, I have been involved in many different productions in the industry. From web series, news broadcasts, short films and live sports, I take any opportunity to be a part of the creative process that brings people together. I am so excited to be working alongside such talented filmmakers to make my story come to life.

Bailee Schreyer-Bragassa - Director

Hi! My name is Bailee Schreyer-Bragassa. I am the Director for the short film 'Consistency'. I grew up in the Spiritual Capitol of the US, a small mountain town in Colorado called Crestone. My creativity blossomed at the age of ten when I began writing a full length novel and in Eighth grade, I became enraptured with the art of film making after seeing Peter Jackson’s 'Lord of the Rings'. After graduating, I turned my attention to the Colorado Film School. While there, I worked on over 20 student films acting, directing, assistant directing, and production managing, gaining a strong working relationship with Seth Tonk as well as many others. Outside of school, my passion for writing evolved, landing me an internship with Screenwriter Darren Foster, a position as Judge and Coordinator for the Vail Film Festival screenwriting competition, and several paid consulting and script doctoring jobs. Upon relocating to LA, I returned my focus to Directing, putting my attention toward character centered pieces such as my previous project, 'Sorry, Your Princess is in Another Castle', a dark homage music video for the self released band 8-Bit HaraKiri, and the upcoming 'Consistency'.

Seth Tonk - Director of Photography

Hi! My name is Seth Tonk. I am the Director of Photography for the short film 'Consistency'. I was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in 1977. After growing up to films like “The Goonies”, “Back to the Future”, and “The Color Purple”, my destiny was clear; I had to tell stories. After various delays, including a 4 year stint in the U.S. Navy, I was finally able to attend film school. During my tenure there, two out of my three student films were deemed amongst the best in class, one winning an award as best editor for the short, "Never Again". My educational focus was in the "Writing/Directing" program, which allowed me to hone my skills as a director, which directly translates to attention to the small things, the details. In addition to directorial efforts, I have been hired on as a Chief Lighting Technician for over 50 short films, 30+ episodes of a national cable TV show, and one independent feature. Throughout this, I became one of the most respected amongst my peers for my overall knowledge of the filmmaking process, from the most technical aspects of a shoot, to visual storytelling and working with talent and crew. In the spring of 2013, my debut film as a cinematographer, “Responsibilities”, began its festival run and was praised as not just a motion picture, but as a “photograph that moves”. I hope to continue my success telling stories visually, using the camera as a form of language on “Consistency”, set for a winter 2013/14 release.

Justin Markowitz - Music Composer

Hi! My name is Justin Markowitz. I'm doing the music for the short film 'Consistency'. I was born and raised in my younger years just outside of Los Angeles, California, then later moved to Temecula, California. I started composing music on the piano and singing at the age of three. I knew back then that I wanted to compose music for film. After high school I wanted to get a degree in film scoring and one of the best music departments in California was at California State University Northridge, so I went there and got my bachelor's degree. While at school I was able to grow exponentially as a musician and composer. I had the opportunity to score student films and meet a ton of fun and creative people. 'Consistency' caught my eye right away because of the intriguing story and the people involved in the project. Everyone on the team is extremely dedicated to making this story come to life and I'm so excited I am joining them on this journey.

Risks and challenges

Our crew of young, and talented people come from a mix of entertainment backgrounds. Collectively, we have what it takes to make this film a reality!

Having already begun pre-production, there are many amazing ideas and contingency plans in place to guarantee the completion of this project. Back ups to back ups are being implemented as well as a worst-case scenario production plan, and though there will always be bumps and turns along the road, we are confident that our dedicated group will be capable of overcoming any obstacles to ensure Consistency's success!
