Hello and thanks you for this question. As of today, we have 11 girls registered for the ALL - GIRLS chess tournament - http://www.events4chess.com/events.php?event_ID=339&display=advance. Those girls are absolutely amazing, with a few of them as young as 5 y.o., yet already experienced in tournament participation! I am sure that this tournament will make a huge difference in their lives, helping them to feel special and celebrate their achievements and dedication. In addition, we received a notice that 4 more girls from Phoenix are planning to register in the near future. The usual practice - participants are registering right before the entry fee increase deadline, which is April 1st for this tournament. Also, The United Chess Federation will promote this tournament within 500 miles radius and publish the ad in the Chess Life Magazine for Kids, April edition. Meanwhile, numerous kids and parents have expressed interest to participate in the 10-board simultaneous exhibition, that will be given by 9 y.o. CFCA student, who is currently in the top 100 in the US in his age category. Also, many people mentioned that they would love to attend to see all the science exhibits, laser shows, The Brooklyn Castle movie and observe chess games.
