How does it work
The Teslasuit transmits sensations to your body by neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), which is widely-used in athletic training and rehabilitation. It is very similar to our own body “native language” and is also used in Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) belts and other well-known devices.

We have upgraded the technology so we could use it in VR and as a standalone device, delivering the telepresence experience and creating a range of tactile sensations. The haptic feedback system simulates impact (such as bullet shots & explosions) and tactile inputs (hugs and light contact). The smart textile consists of conductive thread reinforced by a neoprene outer shell, which also makes it waterproof and washable.
Designed by VR enthusiasts for the VR Community
There are a few haptic feedback wearables out there, but none that would deliver such a realistic and immersive experience. Most products are either only covering part of the body, have very small number of interaction points (4-18), lack the technical features required for full immersion, use inferior technology for delivering the feedback and not many are wireless and energy efficient.
We have designed the Teslasuit to be easy to use, support upgradability, provide extended features for pleasurable, fully immersive and comfortable experience. The only suit of its kind to have climate control.

Teslasuit Range
Teslasuit Prodigy Full Body Suit has a 52-channel Haptic Feedback and Climate Control Systems.The Control Unit is powered by a battery that can last for up to 4 days on a single charge of moderate use of Haptic Feedback. With Climate Control System ON, the battery would last for up to 2 hours on a single charge.
Teslasuit Prodigy comes bundled with a Software Pack and SDK for developers.
Teslasuit Pioneer Full Body Suit has a 16-channel Haptic Feedback System. Control Unit is powered by a battery that can last for up to 4 days on a single charge of moderate use of Haptic Feedback. Teslasuit Pioneer comes bundled with Software Pack and SDK for developers.
Teslasuit Pioneer Jacket has a 16-channel Haptic Feedback System, covering your upper body. Teslasuit Pioneer Jacket comes bundled with a Software Pack and SDK for developers.

Road to Teslasuit
It took us over 3 years to develop the Teslasuit and achieve a realistic effect with electro-tactile sensations. We started with the belt system and developed it to the full body suit that is easy to wear and play.
One of our earliest prototypes was the T-Glove, a fully wireless haptic feedback glove that combines a motion capture with haptic feedback.
Since then we decided to focus on a full body suit development, with the T-Glove to follow once the suit is ready.
If you help us reach £1,000,000 extended goal with this campaign we will make haptic T-glove available as a pledge. It will come as both stand alone T-glove and as the Teslasuit module with an expected price of under £150 for a pair of module gloves.
Smart Textile
We made a number of experiments over the years to create our own smart textile to fit the Teslasuit functionality. In October 2015 the textile was ready and we have launched alpha-testing to collect feedback so we could improve the Teslasuit, preparing it for the mass production.

Reaching £1 000 000 mark will enable us to unlock the T-Glove, the next step in Teslasuit evolution: the multi-modular system and the TeslaOS.
The T-Glove will become available as both modular Teslasuit upgrade and as a standalone device. As a suit module it will be the lightest and thinnest haptic glove in the world and will enable the user to play comfortably for hours. It will include the Haptic Feedback and Motion Capture with gesture recognition. The standalone glove will also include the battery and connect wirelessly to most Bluetooth enabled devices.
TeslaOS will become the heart of the Teslasuit. It will enable the user to install apps directly into the suit and to connect any VR Headset to the Teslasuit. Moreover we will release it as an Open Source operating system for the community enjoyment and development.
The multi-modular system will let users to customise the functionality of the Teslasuit at any time thus optimising the budgets and adding only the features that are needed.

FAQ
When will the Teslasuit SDK be available?
The Teslasuit SDK will be available by the time the Developer Kits ship (estimated September, 2016).
What will the SDK include?
Libraries, documentation, Haptic Editor and samples for integrating the Teslasuit with any game. We’ll also include out-of-the-box Unreal Engine and Unity integrations. The Development kit will be initially targeting PCs and Macs, game consoles and mobile platforms.
Will the Teslasuit developer kit work with my Xbox 360, PS3, or next gen console?
Yes. Teslasuit supports PC and Mac, games consoles, mobile devices and any Bluetooth enabled device.
What are the main steps I will need to take to integrate Teslasuit with my game?
You will need to do the following:
- Integrate our Haptic Engine Library in your game.
- Create haptic presets and animations with Haptic Editor.
Will my favorite game work with the Teslasuit?
VR Digital Paintball game is the first Teslasuit-ready game. That is why this Kickstarter campaign is so important: game developers will need to add support for the Teslasuit to their titles to make them Teslasuit-ready. Please show your support by contributing to the campaign!
What type of input will I use to connect the Teslasuit developer kit to my computer?
The Teslasuit connects to the computer via the Bluetooth connection.
What are the minimum system requirements for the Teslasuit developer kit?
The computer must have a Bluetooth module equal or higher than v2.1
Benefits of Teslasuit Pioneer and Prodigy?
The difference between editions is the amount of nodes, which is increased in Teslasuit Prodigy edition to cover more areas on the body.
Both Teslasuit Pioneer and Prodigy editions comes bundled with a Software Pack and SDK for developers.
SAFETY NOTICE:
TENS (EMS) technology isn't safe for everyone to use. Don't use it without first seeking medical advice if:
- you have a pacemaker or another type of electrical or metal implant in your body
- you're pregnant, or there's a chance you might be pregnant – TENS (EMS) may not be recommended early in pregnancy
- you have epilepsy or a heart rhythm disorder (arrhythmia)
It is not recommended to use the TENS (EMS) continuously for more than 6 hours at a time.

We have been working extremely hard for the last 3 years to minimize the risks. The latest prototype works perfectly and the design has been verified to guarantee manufacturability. At this moment, we are almost ready to start production phase.
We have worked very closely with our suppliers. Even though the chances are very low, if any unpredictable circumstances occur, it may delay the shipping date. In this case we will send you a notice with explanations.
Tesla Studios is a group of perfectionists and hard workers. We will only deliver products which we would be willing to spend our own money on. We believe the shipping will start in September 2016, if not sooner.
