Kewler Kooler by WC Caddy, LLC
WC Caddy, LLC's Kewler Kooler. Join one mans effort to end Veteran Homelessness in the USA.
WC Caddy, LLC, inventor of the only soft sided wheelchair airline protection systems available on the market, created the Kewlest Kooler lid as a complimentary addition to standard Home Depot or Rubbermaid Water coolers. The Kewler Kooler is perfect for those hot afternoons on your boat, in the back yard, in your RV, for weekend jeep builders in their garage, in tents while camping, kids sports practice, etc. Now wherever you take a cooler, you can stay Kewl.
People have been making home made swamp coolers for years. Why not utilize the ice that you have already packed into your cooler to keep you and your friends cool when its hot outside? Not only does WC Caddy's Kewler Kooler keep you and your friends cool, it keeps your drinks cold, and charges your phone or other accessories.
A fairly simple concept - if you blow air over ice, it Kewls down the air. Then direct that kewl air into a space that's hot, and that space gets Kewler.
About our Kewler Kooler
The Kewler Kooler is an accessory lid with a built in fan for either a 5 or 10 gallon Home Depot/Rubbermaid water cooler, threaded exactly so it screws on in place of the standard lid. Here's the fun part - the Kewler Kooler fan blows 600 cubic feet of air per minute over ice inside the Kewler - forcing Kewled air out adjustable side vents built into the lid. To make it portable, WC Caddy built the Kewler Kooler lid with a 2 hour rechargeable battery pack. When you have access to a 12 volt plug, hit the switch, plug it in, and now you are powered by the cord. Additionally, the Kewler Kooler lid contains 2 USB ports to charge phones or other accessories.
Kewler Kooler Results
When using a a 15 lb block of ice, our testing achieved on average an 11 degree difference between the air drawn into the Kewler vs. the air coming out of the vents. Testing has shown as much as a 15 degree drop from 100 degrees down to 85 degrees outside in the shade, and as little as 8 degrees when the Kewler starts to fill with water. Results vary depending on humidity and amount of ice added. One 10 lb block of ice will last about 4 hours, and two blocks of ice will get you through most of a day. The battery pack will last approximately 2 hours on a single charge. The best part? We haven't taken away the reason you bought the cooler in the first place, to keep drinks, sandwiches, orange slices for sports practices, and things that need to stay cold. Some new coolers have so many accessories that their isn't much space left to put food and drinks.
As long as you have a well ventilated space, you can add dry ice, which has a temperature of minus 109 degrees. The temperature difference here is astounding. One 10 lb block of regular ice with 7 lbs of dry ice produces a difference of 27 degrees, from 80 degrees down to 53 degrees during inside testing, and during outside testing, the temp dropped from 86 degrees going into to the Kewler Kooler down to 59 degrees coming out the vents! The dry ice also helps keep the regular block of ice from melting. 7 lbs of dry ice on top of a 10 lb block of regular ice will last on average 2 hours. The 10 lb block of regular ice lasts about 4 hours.
Just for fun we loaded up the Kewlest Kooler with 20 lbs of block ice and 12 lbs of dry ice. The results were a FULL drop of 40 degrees both indoors and outdoors. 92 to 52 outside and 82 to 42 inside.

Building Jeeps For Disabled Veterans
Not only will WC Caddy, LLC assemble the Kewler Kooler in Phoenix, Arizona, as opposed to shipping it out over seas, it will be completely assembled, packed and shipped by Disabled Veterans needing a job. Kewler Koolers also be will be shipped for free, to our guys and gals serving in the hot desert bases across the US. Camp Crocker has been supporting Veterans for years building Jeeps for soldiers through his former business Cop4x4, through his current business WC Caddy, LLC giving away wheelchair travel cases to the Phoenix Veterans Home, and this project will be the perfect way for all of us to do something that needs to be done, do something for our men and women that have served in our armed forces and might need a little help. Plus, you get a Kewl new product!
WC Caddy, LLC's goals are much larger than this product. If the Kewler Kooler is successful in the market, WC Caddy's President, Camp Crocker, wants to build a community just for homeless Veterans, or Veterans about to become homeless in Arizona and across the country. The community is going to be affectionately called Veteransville. The home seen above is called a Park Model Home. Its just under 400 sq ft and is classified as an RV. The goal is to build an RV park filled with these homes just for Homeless Veterans. WC Caddy and Camp Crocker have been working with the Hud Vash voucher team in Phoenix, and the need is huge. Their are over 5000 veterans using the VA home assistance program in Phoenix alone, and another 1200 vouchers are coming available before the end of the year. Most apartment complexes will not take anybody that has been arrested, even if the VA is subsidizing some of the rent. Many Vets have a somewhat checkered past that keeps them from being eligible to rent. Being homeless will do that........The goal is 50 of these homes to house 50 Homeless Veterans with the profits of the Kewler Kooler.
You get an awesome new product, assembled by disabled soldiers, and if we really get this campaign going, you get to watch the first of it's kind Homeless Veteran Only Community be built, with the profits of the Kewler Kooler you just purchased.
Shipping will begin spring of 2016, just in time for summer. We have only included shipping prices to the US and Canada. We can ship any where in the world, but shipping charges will vary. Please email us and we will get you a quote.
For all of you that choose to spend your hard earned money on our new Kewler Kooler, and would like to support one mans efforts to end Veteran Homelessness here in our country, we salute you. Now, lets get this party started!
Risks and challenges
By adjusting the fan speed/CFM, WC Caddy is confident that the Kewler Kooler can be made to achieve several degrees Kewler with normal block ice. Additionally are working on getting a suitable battery pack which will extend the run time to 3 hours plus. Those items will be addressed during the final three months of R & D. Packaging of the product hasn't been addressed, but will when our final product is ready for production.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
