CONTROLLINO: The first ARDUINO compatible PLC (Canceled)
First ARDUINO compatible PLC in 3 different sizes - perfect for your next project where a little bit more than driving a LED is needed.
WHAT IS CONTROLLINO?
CONTROLLINO is a professional PLC for private and industrial use. A solid hardware build around Atmel’s ATmega328 and the ATmega2560 microcontrollers, ready to run with your ARDUINO projects.
While you will have 250V / 5A Relays Outputs, 2A Digital Outputs and Digital/Analog Inputs you will not miss the possibility to also connect also directly to the processor. This means you can still use the CONTROLLINO as a full ARDUINO platform like before.
Connect your displays, WIFI, Bluetooth, buttons, LEDs, ... like before.
Whatever you want to control ... CONTROLLINO has all the Outputs and Inputs needed.
CONTROLLINO is fully UL and CE certificated and lets you use your ARDUINO Project even in professional applications or products intended to sell on the local and international market.
We will also offer a third party solution for a Ladder Tool with these features:
- allows you to edit a logic in Ladder language and/or STL (AWL) - style Siemens Step7 ®
- simulates on the PC the programmed logic
- allows you to load the logic on any CONTROLLINO which runs this logic as a real PLC
CONTROLLINO - The Idea
When I was at electronic school ... I would have loved ARDUINO ... but back then microcontroller programming wasn’t that easy. When I became aware of ARDUINO I thought ... what a great idea for young people and those who are not hardcore microcontroller programmers.
The only problem with ARDUINO is ... when you don’t really know so much about electronic hardware ... driving more than a LED can become difficult. And using an ARDUINO Board in a professional project is not so popular among professionals.
The solution for those problems is CONTROLLINO!!!
The final decision to begin with CONTROLLINO was when my brother in law gave me his broken coffee machine … an easy job for ARDUINO … only had to control two Relays … but with all the handmade added things to the ARDUINO board … I thought … this can be done better and saver.
CONTROLLINO - The Features
Supply Voltage: 12-24V
All Inputs/Outputs ESD Protected: 6kV contact; 10kV air (also the 26 pin header)
Digital Outputs: Overload and Short-Circuit-Proof
Why we want YOU
We have come to the point where we need your help to fund the project to the end. We will use the funds from the Kickstarter campaign to get it certified, develop the tooling and start production.
Some of the used parts are custom made so we will need injection molds. As you know, they are really expensive.
If we get pushed high enough we will immediately also start with extension modules like: Bluetooth, WiFi, Motor Controller, Ethernet Version, …
Become a RESELLER
Become an Entrepreneur yourself and be a CONTROLLINO RESELLER in your State or country. Target Markets are Makers, Home Automation, Industrial Applications, Schools & Education, Automotive, ...

Marco Riedesser created the concept for CONTROLLINO. With his 20 years of experience in developing and production of electronics he is the right man at the right time. As CTO he realizes all the features that CONTROLLINO stands up for.
Together with his twin brother Patrick Riedesser he has created many other products. Patrick knows the market and its customer, every time he raises the stakes.
Angelika Gruber combines the vision and the correct process reliability. She holds everything together.
Risks and challenges
Since years we are in the development and production sector for electronics. We have developed in all kinds of sectors ... consumer, industry and even military. We have produced electronics in numbers from 1 to 10.000 pieces. But as always ... there are risks of higher orders ... but we are sure to manage these as well.
A risk that always exists is the sourcing of components. But also here we are highly confident to manage these also.
If in any event a delay is eminent ... we will immediately inform our bakers.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
