About this project
What the heck is this?
This kickstarter project is an awesome illustrated art novella called Sons of a Distant Earth - suitable for leaving out on a coffee table. The story of a volunteer firefighter / art student who is chosen by the gods to vanquish an ancient evil! Starring Fathak BurDjinn - pirate extraordinaire - and Jillian Fürcone - a pyrokinetic telepath - this first book is set in the world of Aeranos, a fantastical realm where "The unknown lurks near at hand and both the risk and reward goes to those daring enough to seek it.
A companion piece to the Aeranos Adventures* Smart pen & paper Rpg system, this tome serves well as an introduction to the landscapes, locales, inhabitants, and mythology of the world of Aeranos*.
Film credits: Starring Brady Choate, Kevin Dawson, and Jack Daniels.
Music by Giant's Dance, Leaves Russell, and Novaload via soundcloud.com.

So what's this Kickstarter for?
Funds will be used to cover the writing, illustration, design, layout, printing, binding, and shipping costs. We will also be upgrading old equipment, and plan on hawking the book on the road at multiple comic and art conventions, and we need your help.
What happens if we raise more than the funding goal?
Awesome! First and foremost, funds will go to making the book better, with more variation to the cover and interior pages - the goal is for the piece to be interesting to hold and flip through - more than just a short story or a comic book - and with an overall more archival feel. Did I mention new equipment? (my current scanner is rubbish, and I'll be needing more paint as well :^ ) Then we'll upgrade the materials used in making our rewards, and we also have plans to unlock special rewards for backers at 200% and 300% funding. Then we'll print more books, more books, and really be able to get out to the comic conventions and art fairs. Also, bigger and better rewards & updates! ( at the moment it's difficult getting in a full eight-hour painting session, as I have to work two joe-jobs to pay the rent... ) I also someday have plans for an animation, video game, and hopefully a few sequels... But we would need a small army of ninja contributors & art aficionados...
We also love the idea of inXile's Kicking it forward,
