## Help us be awesome by taking this quick survey !
The world’s first front-facing room scale motion tracking system that is both compatible with mobile and Steam VR game play. Put on your mobile headset and interact with the environment naturally, turning the usual passive VR experience into an active one.
You can play a full motion tracked VR games such as Tilt Brush, Job Simulator, Space Pirate Trainer and more right on your mobile VR headset without spending a fortune.
The future of mobile VR is in your hands. Simply connect the headset marker directly to the smartphone via a USB cable, place down the base station, and start your gameplay! The portability of NOLO allows you to play anywhere.
About iOS Compatibility
For the Mobile VR mode, iOS is completely compatible and we will release an iOS SDK for developers.
For the SteamVR mode, NOLO is compatible with iOS, but RiftCat/VRidge (our partner for streaming the SteamVR games to your smartphone) doesn't currently support iOS devices. They are working on making iOS devices compatible and expect to release this function before the end of 2017. However, the performance may not be as great as Android devices, because many functions are closed from developers on the iOS system.
We are also exploring other options, such as TrinusVR for iOS compatibility.

With a less than 20 ms positioning delay, there is no dizziness or disorientation. Your movements are synced to the virtual world in real-time, so it is complete immersion.
Our core technology, PolarTraq, is found in the palm-sized base station. The small, but powerful base station can track movements within a 13 feet (4 meters) x 13 feet (4 meters) space with a tracking accuracy of less than 2mm. Simply calibrate your trackers and start playing anywhere.
Interact with people and objects in the virtual world with your hands as if you were in the real world. Get a full range of movement with 6 DoF (both position and rotation).
We want to help developers bring out the full potential of their imagination and create the best games by providing our SDK and plenty of developer support.
PolarTraq is LYRobotix’s proprietary Spatial Tracking Technology. Through the fusion of optic, acoustic and radio signals, millimeter level of accuracy and low latency can be achieved with high affordability, low power consumption, and high portability. Therefore, it’s the ideal motion tracking solution for Mobile VR.
The system consists of one base station and multiple tracking markers. While in use, the base station transmits optic, acoustic and radio signals to the effective area. Each tracking marker, after receiving the signal needed, calculates its relative position to the base station onboard. Therefore, the base station is able to locate an infinite amount of tracking markers at the same time, as long as line of sight is available for all.
When you use Riftcat and VRidge software, your Steam VR game can be displayed on your Android mobile phone. NOLO can then connect the Headset Marker to the PC via a USB cable to interact with the Steam VR game.
If you don't have a Riftcat account, you can take advantage of this special.
If you own a mobile VR headset and Riftcat, back a NOLO and start your interactive VR gaming!
If you want the whole package, check out these awesome rewards!
Compatibility of smartphone models for each VR headset
LYRobotix started researching on indoor positioning technology in order to make drones fly safely and autonomously despite of weak or the lack of GPS signals. After proving and comparing several inside-out & outside-in methods, we decided to further develop the current PolarTraq technology since it’s the most reliable and cost-effective. We’ve completed the prototype of PolarTraq at the end of 2015. Meanwhile, one of our team members ordered an Oculus DK2 to play with. We tried using our PolarTraq prototype with DK2. The whole team was intrigued by the fully immersive experience VR provided and was so excited to transform our core technology into a VR product. Like that, the concept of NOLO came in birth.
LYRobotix is an innovative company that focuses on Human Computer Interaction. The core team of LYRobotix are graduates from well-known universities, both domestically and internationally, such as Chinese Academy of Sciences, Columbia University and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, etc.
LYRobotix is committed to the development and democratization of advanced technologies, namely, having conceived and patented the PolarTraq Spatial Positioning Technology. Using PolarTraq, LYRobotix developed and is ready to launch its first product: NOLO Motion Tracking System, with the vision to provide fully immersive Mobile VR input device for the whole industry.
Our team created NOLO with a vision to make the benefits of innovative technology available to all walks of life. We believe that Mobile VR is the form that will eventually go mainstream due to its affordability and ease-of-use. By launching this Kickstarter campaign, we want to build a community of avid backers who share the same vision, provide constructive feedback, and support us to make NOLO better. Whether you’re a game lover wanting to step into the SteamVR world, a software developer contemplating a brilliant masterpiece for a larger audience, or even a fellow VR hardware maker looking for a cost-effective tracking solution, join us and push VR forward together!
Risques et défis
While there is certainly risk at the future steps, we are doing everything we can to ensure that we deliver the NOLO Motion Tracking system on time.
Manufacturing: Hardware manufacturing, especially for innovative products, could be challenging. That’s why we’ve involved manufacturers every step of the way, catching issues before they become problems. Members of our team have seen multiple products through from concept to mass production.
Shipping Time: We’ve already placed the manufacturing order, and May 2017 is our shipping estimate, with time for revisions accounted for.
Cost: Our BOM list is clear and sourcing from partners had been completed. There won’t be a risk for potential price surge.
Quality: We’ve selected highly-qualified factories in Shenzhen as partners. Part of our team will be based in Shenzhen, overlooking all factory operations, to ensure quality production and assembly.
Funding: LYRobotix, the company behind NOLO had raised tens of millions in Series A funding in 2016.
