We, the Wilson History and Research Center (a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation), want to create a public museum space for exhibits in Little Rock, Arkansas. This space is meant to further educate those who wish to learn about military history through artifacts, people, and events, with the ultimate goal of educating the public on the futility of war. This project is of the utmost importance and priority to us, because we have been making incremental steps into the public sphere, and this represents the culmination of those efforts.
To make a final push and finally offer our extensive collection to the public, we need to have money for the exhibits themselves. Our project is to build five exhibits with pledged funding. If successful, we will work to open the space to the public, build a relationship with museum-goers, and work towards the longevity of our foundation.
Though our museum has been largely maintained by private donations, we must make steps to ensure that the public is invested in our future as well. This is that first step, and this is why we need your help!
You can visit the WHRC's online museum at http://militaryheadgear.com to see a small sample of our collection and the possibilities of what we can offer.
