About this project
I, Chris Chisum, have wanted to record an album -- the right way -- for many, many years. My passion has been singing and entertaining since I was six years old and I couldn't imagine my life without it. If I never do anything in the music business that's more substantial than this one project, I'll be content, satisfied and extremely happy.
Angela and I started performing together over a year ago. Live music was foreign ground to her at the time, as all she's ever done is local karaoke and family jam sessions. However, she was born to perform and "Stuck on 7" has allowed us to do that together.
Our unique individual sounds offer even more when they are put together. There's nothing like adding great harmony to an already-great song and Angela and I focus on that in everything we sing/perform.
This album is truly a labor of love. It's a daunting challenge in a variety of ways -- especially financially. That's why we hope this Kickstarter project allows us the opportunity to put that part behind us.
It costs a lot of money to put together a quality record. The studio costs add up when you are producing original material. Recording the music piece by piece, recording TWO vocal parts (a third, technically, with harmony), and then editing and mastering the final product. Not to mention, the creativity required in order to make every song fresh and unique requires a lot of time and energy.
This project simply can't get done without your help. We appreciate all of our friends and family who contribute and especially those of you we might not know yet. We can't wait to get started on this project and most importantly, we can't wait for the finished product.
We hope you join us for the journey and we'll be sure to keep you updated via blogs and videos as we try to tackle and complete this challenge.
With your help, we know we can make it happen!
