A group of travelers has awoken an Ancient Evil.
Little do they know, some of those who travel among them have already been corrupted...
Forsaken Forest is a social deduction card game set within a mysterious forest, inexplicably warped by dark magic. In order to win, you must navigate to your team’s veiled Destination before the opposing team navigates to theirs, or eliminate everyone who stands in your way.
Along the way, you'll need to manage your resources wisely, gain the trust of your fellow travelers, and fend off the evils of the night.
Players begin the game as either a Villager, or one of the Forsaken. Your secret role determines your objective in the game - which of the eight face-down Destinations with the Forest that you seek to navigate to and who you need to eliminate from the game.
The first team to either reach their destination, or eliminate enough of the opposing team's players, wins! Just remember that not all who Wander are lost.

Forsaken Forest's amazing art was created by a team of 10 amazing Artists, whose notoriety range from up-and-coming to industry professional.
Christof Grobelski was the lead artist for this project. We expect absolutely amazing things from him. His visceral and gruesome style is accentuated by a seemingly impossible level of detail.
Tomaz Jedrusek, Lake Hurwitz, and Joe Slucher of Magic: the Gathering fame played the role of support artists. Their unique styles can be seen in over a dozen different cards.
Chris Cold played the role landscape artist. He helped breathe life (and death) into the haunting landscape of the Forsaken Forest.
Other Artists include:

The Full Art:
Up until this point, this project has been 100% self-funded. There's no question I would do it the same way every single time, but I have to say, it adds up. I'm very lucky to have had the resources available to fund the art and design, but I need Kickstarter, not only as a platform to get my message out there, but as a means to fund a great first print run!
The more copies ordered, the more realistic it is that I don't lose money on this risky life-long dream of mine. I really just want to share my game with as many people as possible, and Kickstarter will help ensure that it has a great head start.
1. First and Foremost, this game is my passion. I decided to pursue making Forsaken Forest a reality because it's a game that I truly love to play, and one that I desperately want to continue to expand upon for many years to come. I have taken part in countless play-test sessions, and played in almost every game possible, simply because it warms my heart when I lead unsuspecting fools to The Void.
2. Simply put, if you love social deduction games, but you're tired of monotomy and staleness, this is a game with massive replayability, and the design space to support many, many interesting expansions. Many people complain that social deduction games don't let you make many actual decisions - they don't feel like games. Forsaken Forest fills in those gaps.
3. This is just the beginning. There are so many cool and unique Roles, Destinations, and new cards that I can’t wait to explore in future expansions, but you have to start somewhere. If you want to contribute to the start of an ongoing series, then you should hop on the carriage before you get left in the woods.
A special thanks!

Risks and challenges
This is my first official game and first kickstarter campaign.
So, why should you trust a player whose proverbial 'Role Card' has yet to be revealed?
To give you a bit of backstory about me, I've been a competitive gamer for most of my life, and I currently work in the gaming analytics industry. I'm a classic perfectionist and obsesser. I reached out to over one hundred artists before I found my team.
I have playtested this game into oblivion until I was happy with every single card and detail. I reached out to dozens of manufacturers and fulfillment services until I found one that clicked with this project. I've invested hundreds of hours ensuring that every aspect of this is perfect! This may be my first rodeo, but I've come prepared.
Forsaken Forest has actually been close to complete for almost a full year. I've spent the last few months coordinating with the manufacturer, creating gameplay content, building steam on social media and, of course, perfecting the finer details of the game.
Typical Forsaken Response..
That being said, Chinese Manufacturers are known to have their faults. Delays are almost a given when working with them, but I'm confident that my pre-production work will help offset these delays.
More than anything, I care about the community behind the game, and I hope to see it grow immensely in the following years.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
