Two cosmic adventurers are in a tricky scenario and must work together. By rolling and manipulating dice for special abilities and combos, you can be the one that guides them to victory.
We are back with a second series of Twin Stars. The first time around we (hopefully) escaped the brig, confined the quarks, ruled the word, stole the plans, stopped the virus, and hunted the bounty.
Now we are going to dig a little deeper into this Pocket Universe. We'll risk our lives once again, but have a little fun along the way.
In Twin Stars II you will:
- Master The Trials - learn the ways of the light while avoiding the dark.
- Beat The Odds - play the Triple Pyramids and try to win big.
- Control The Skies - take down waves of enemies with your targeting system.
- Sell The Junk - keep an eye on the market and time your sales to earn serious credits.
- Destroy The Order - pull some strings, rewrite the rules, and get elected into office.
- Serve The Rabble - try to balance your customers' drink orders before they brawl.
This new group of 6 scenarios and 12 characters makes for 396 unique combinations and tons of solo replayability. If you combine it with Series I, the possibilities are (almost!) endless.
The game comes in a few versions:
HOW TO PLAY
Choose any two characters and a scenario, some dice and tokens and you're ready to play.
You will roll dice, place them on your characters one by one checking for instants and effects. Afterwards, you will check for combos as shown on the scenario. Combos will help you move forward, and sometimes punish you. If there is no combo, you will choose a die to reduce by 1 and take the other back and re-roll, checking for instants and effects, then combos.
Each scenario adds some additional twists and turns.
New in Twin Stars II - We added 3 new keywords to Twin Stars II characters.
- Reaction - These are OPTIONAL abilities that trigger immediately upon dropping a die down to this value. The ability takes effect before any combo.
- Fatigue - These are REQUIRED abilities that trigger immediately upon dropping a die down to this value. The ability takes effect before any combo.
- Focus - If a successful Skill Check die is used at a value with a Focus effect, the Focus effect is triggered.

REVIEWS OF THE ORIGINAL TWIN STARS ADVENTURE SERIES I
"The game is incredibly well balanced, providing that you remember to do the skill checks when called for and actually play by the rules (I may have messed up a couple of times). The game forces you to make tough choices." -Jeremy Davis, Everything Board Games
"I enjoy the system a lot. It’s got a good challenge to it, and can be played very quickly in a small space. I think it’s great that there are a number of scenarios and characters out there – this system lends itself to expansion. My favorite of the scenarios right now is probably Stop the Virus because I think it’s the most different, but they’re all good (at least the four that I’ve tried)" -Jesse Hickle, Boards and Bees
"For anyone that regularly plays board and card games solo, Twin Stars is a no-brainer, especially at its price point. With twelve characters, six scenarios, and multiple difficulty levels, Twin Stars provides hours of unique, fresh, engaging gameplay for the solo gamer." -Eric Buscemi, The Cardboard Hoard
STRETCH GOALS / FREE EXPANSION
In previous campaigns we created expansion material and used it as stretch goals. Going forward, we're just going to give it away from the start. So no worries on whether we'll hit it or not, you are getting this expansion if you pledge here.
With your Twin Stars II pledge you will be receiving 3 Droids and a new Syzygy Mode Campaign rules booklet. Droids generally help you along the way but may malfunction, and Syzygy Mode is a campaign that allows you to play multiple scenarios one after another, in a nice and interconnected way.

BOARD GAME OF THE MONTH CLUB
We have an awesome following of repeat customers. As a result, we've built the Board Game of the Month Club.
It's a subscription service where you receive unreleased microgames, promo cards, expansion content, and Kickstarter discounts.... every month. Supporters will receive from $1, $2, $5 to $10 off of EVERY WALLET GAME THAT WE MAKE.
Our $5 packages include an episode of Timestamp, a time-travel game that takes place on a single postcard. Each episode is fully playable on its own, and supporters receive PNP links to previous episodes. It also includes a character in our expanding series Banned Books. All supporters receive the Banned Books base game in their first package. It's a solo game of literary characters trying to get their books un-banned. And finally it includes a copy (and a link to print more) of the next Legends of Dsyx Roll and Write Game. Legends of Dsyx is an ongoing roll & write series where each game is set in the same kingdom, but the games play very differently.
Our $10 packages include all of those and something extra. Generally it's a micro-game (up to 9 cards), or some expansion / promo cards for our existing games.
And our $20 September package includes all of the above and a copy of the featured wallet game (or the wallet game of your choice).
You can learn more or subscribe at https://www.patreon.com/buttonshy.
Risks and challenges
Releasing games each month has established a groove with the manufacturer. We rarely see delays on their end, but we can see delays before it goes to the manufacturer. We are spending time making sure the rules are 100% right and some of you will be invited to join in on that process.
With a lot to juggle and it being two people, we will occasionally see delays. A few previous projects were a little behind schedule so we've adjusted our schedule accordingly. Our last projects are running a few weeks behind schedule due to the size of Sprawlopolis. That campaign is 75% fulfilled, and everything else will follow shortly.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
