25 Word Stories by Gaetan Pappalardo

We are getting really close to the finish line! This morning, I woke up to see we were at $9419... under $600 from the funding goal. It's all very exciting and I can't thank you enough. The past few days have been huge for us, and I'm hoping the momentum continues over the next 9 days.

And now for an update to the Storyteller Manual by Gaetan Pappalardo, writer, educator, and rocker extroardinaire.

(New Backers! The Storyteller Manual is a free pdf that you will receive, loaded with games and activities. You can also add a print version for $11 US / $13 Int)

Gaetan Pappalardo is the creator and author of Louie Licks and the Wicked Snakes, a story about a young boy who uses Rock and Roll to save the world. Armed with his Battle Axe (a 1962 Phoenix III guitar) he ends up on an adventure when a mega-fan from outer space tries to steal his thunder. It's a very original idea with great artwork by Amy English.

Of course, Gaetan is a rocker himself. He's also a third-grade teacher and writer for the George Lucas Educational Foundation, Edutopia.

I was thrilled to have Gaetan involved with the project. His contribution, 25 Word Stories, is an activity / exercise for writers (or aspiring writers). Not only did Gaetan provide the idea, but he also provided a ton of examples that will be found throughout the Storyteller Manual.

Thanks Gaetan! I love, love, love the boxer story.

And now, here's a challenge for everyone else: What is your 25 Word Story for our cover image?

Maybe another possibility is to create a handicap for extremely good storytellers in that they need to incorporate one of the corners in the story.

Hiding evidence is the easy part. Doing it in heels and also looking good, now that's a challenge I would make to anyone out there.

"Everyone knows you never dig in heels", the father said, as he took his son's hand in his, and they looked on from the ridge.

      the book of all knowledge
      was hidden away by an

      Ella knew that even in
      the face of global annihilation,
      the corporations would suppress her
      solution, so she documented humanity's
      failure to spare future societies.

      The corrupt CEO sighed. This
