With the Total Surround Packages, we will send out any LED size that you choose - Classic, Mega, Xtreme or Flex. A few weeks before the shipping date, backers of this pledge will receive a survey via Kickstarter requesting the size they want.
Yes you can. The 4K hub supports all specifications of HDMI 1.4 and this includes 1080P, 1080I, 720P etc. The hub can also take sources of different resolutions and can switch between them. The hub will send out to the TV, the highest resolution that the TV supports.
We have developed a calculator to assist with this calculation.
Once the calculation is done, you can pledge this amount on the DreamScreen ShoutOut. We will contact you immediately after at end of campaign to convert this into an order. Please Direct Message us if you have specific questions.
The New DreamScreen addresses brightness in two ways.
We have moved to a new brand of LED that is more ruggedized and is brighter - but fully compatible with timing specifications of the old one allowing for backward compatibility.
We saw that most brightness issues were associated with the content on the screen not being fully saturated. So we have introduced a new technique called ColorBoost that applies an exponential curve shifting the brightness dynamically. ColorBoost is a software feature that addresses low brightness associated with the content on the screen not being fully saturated. Cartoons, for instance, are saturated colors whereas most movies are not. ColorBoost applies an exponential shift to the HSB color model allowing the backlighting to 'pop' even when you have dimly lit or unsaturated screens.
Smart TVs do not have a mechanism to output the video content of what they are playing. Native Apps cannot work with DreamScreen in Video Mode.
You can still use Music mode for apps like Pandora (via the optical output connection using a TOS Link to 3.5mm Audio Converter http://amzn.to/2p2pQ7I)
