A very surprising morning

Posted by Little Nuke Games (Creator)

So this morning I discovered that the games in the EU had already started arriving, which is awesome but also kind of crazy, since I didn't know they were that far along. My contact at Stella who set up my fulfillment campaign apparently transitioned jobs partway through this time, and now somebody else at Stella is handling it - so communication has changed a bit. Last time I was contacted, they had me set up an email notice for backers (which was supposed to include tracking info... but evidently this hasn't gone out yet) and told me about a web portal being set up to track where the games are (which I also haven't seen yet) so you can imagine how surprised I was to receive messages today saying that certain games had arrived when I was under the impression that various "set up" things were still underway. I sent them a message and am waiting to hear back... so hopefully you guys will be receiving tracking info here soon.

That said, I'm not really complaining... from what I'm hearing they did a good job wrapping them, haha - Its just... well, until you have a lot of products in countries you've never been to, in the hands of people you've never met, which happen to be worth a considerable amount of money, its hard to describe the feeling of "man... I hope this works!" So anything unexpected is one part excitement, one part dread terror. Maybe two parts dread terror.

So I have one fulfillment center working at warp 12, and then I have my Chinese fulfillment center who works at their own pace :). They're the ones handling my international fulfillment (all non-EU/USA/Canada). They sent me a picture today telling me they were finished wrapping and boxing the games, and it looks like they've done a really good job! Look at those pictures - thats a lot of bubble wrap! I'm guessing this means these should be going out literally any day now.

That sweet sweet bubble wrap!

USA + Canada

Just a heads up - these games are still on the boat - and nothing has changed in their status - they're still due to arrive in Norfolk during the first week of February (then it'll be in customs 3-10 days, and then on a truck to my house). All my packing material arrived yesterday, so I'm ready to go the moment they get here. As I mentioned previously, I'm going to be driving into Canada to mail those games out from within the country. Along the drive, I'll probably drop off a number of games myself that are within a reasonable distance of my path. So if you're on certain parts of the east coast, there's a chance your delivery boy might very well be me.

      @Richard: Oh thats awesome! Based on where you're at, I'm certain your the first "international" address to receive an order.

      Mine also arrived today, nice sturdy outer box, excellent quality.
      Very pleased and looking forward to first outing!!

      @Paul: Haha, I'd have to check my list, but I'm 90% certain you're one of the houses who will be seeing me.

      @Selwyn, Rob: Awesome!

      @Philippe: Yeah, just can't bee that air shipment! I would have loved to air ship the game to the states too, but the quantity was just too vast in terms of weight and space.

      @Barry: Thanks!

      Mine arrived this morning here in the UK. It looks good (pictures posted on Facebook) and I am looking forward to getting it to the table very soon.

      If you are passing by Baltimore, I wouldn't mind a hand-delivery. LOL

      Gosh, I can't remember a KS project where stuff started coming so fast the publisher was surprised! Good for all of us in the sense that the games are all produced, packed, and moving. I'll look forward to some early reviews and photos from European backers on BGG while Customs fiddles over the US copies. Safe journey taking those Canadian copies north!

      Well, as a Canadian backer, I gotta admit it is nice to read that EU backers are getting the game before everyone else instead of being last for once. :D

      Looking forward to reading the reviews and comments. :D
