Painted Stretch Goal minis Examples and other fun news!
Just wanted to share with you some painted examples of the Stretch goal unlocked minis you'ze guys are getting.
These were all a blast to paint, especially the reliquary, as I had to really work to get some sort of a gem look for the eyes. I do want to take up the challenge and make the lantern light from the priest reflect off of him, but - well, I chickened out. Next time!
this variation model is really cool and will give units that dash of color and movement to help set them off!
All of these minis have been added to the "Painted collection of Death" backer pledge, which has been snapped up.
With 20 days left, we are looking shiny and I hope we can hit a couple more stretch goals. I'm working on the sketch now for the next unlock which will be another free mini AND a choice variant.
Flags: The flags have been laid out and sent off to the printer. I should have them by the end of next week.
Bases: Bought all the wood we'll need to cut bases this weekend and already got a start on them. Have to cut at night now because it's getting into the 90's during the day, and lasers don't like heat so much. The more you know...
Kublacon Game Convention!
I'll be at kublacon game convention this weekend running a couple of games with my wooden soldiers in the grand foyer. I'll also have a limited amount of sample figs available to hand out, and will be showing off the Backer pledge painted units in the painting contest- so if you are in the hood, please stop by and say hey! I'd love to meet you!
Lastly I'm working on a "how to paint" series doing two different methods. I'll try to have that all squared away and photographed by this week, but with the con up coming, it's going to be a bit cray cray.
Cheers! I love the feedback so far- keep the conversations coming!
