With your help, we can bring a mural-sized version of ’Courage Has No Gender’ to your city to spread this important message far and wide.
The goal is to paint each of these 10 faces of 'Courage Has No Gender' as large scale individual mural in 10 different cities across the country.
I recently painted a 16-foot version of the 10 faces of courage in Los Angeles, California.
Wouldn’t it be amazing to have each of these 10 faces painted far and wide to celebrate the brave individuals who are disrupting gender norms?
These murals will serve as a reminder to take action and be inspired to change gender norms.
The goal of this Kickstarter is to build a community around each mural and to demonstrate how supporting each other’s courage makes us stronger together.
To be prominent, we must be active.
$30,000 - will fund me personally traveling to 10 different cities in order to install a different face of ‘Courage Has No Gender’ in each city.
$35,000+ for each additional $5K, a new face will be created and installed in a new city.
**New Reward Added!** $100 This adorable mini (8"x 8") canvas only 100 will be created! Each one unique, signed, and numbered. And YOU get to choose which 'Face of Courage' you'd like.

A few years ago, before I started doing street art, I wrote the mantra “courage has no gender” on a post-it note and put it on my computer next to another note that read “be happy just because”. At the time, I was struggling in the corporate world and I needed to find the courage to overcome the fact that doors were closing in my face because of my gender. By overcoming each and every hurdle, I ended up exceeding my goals and enjoyed a successful career which I decided to leave in 2015 in order to pursue my passion of creating street art.
Those words on a post-it note served as a daily inspiration . . . and now I want to share “Courage Has No Gender” to encourage others that might be going through life’s struggles. In the initial art for Courage Has No Gender, I paired the words with an iconic image of the aviator Amelia Earhart. I have always had an affinity for flight, so for me, Amelia was an obvious initial face. To date, I have painted Amelia and ‘Courage Has No Gender’ in over a dozen cities.
Help me paint these faces in more cities to spread this positive message all over the country . . . and eventually all over the world.
Special thanks to @RobertCoshland and @AriSturm and @WRDSMTH
Risks and challenges
There are many moving parts to this plan. Fortunately, the images have already been created and are ready to install. So that means all that we need now is paint and a wall to paint on! You won't be waiting long until you see a new mural in your city.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
