Networked societies like ants, bees, and fungi scale their vast organizations differently than we do––by pooling diverse and independent experiences to create rich hotspots of abundance. We can do it too, and Teeming will show us how.

Dear Supporters,

You will no doubt be delighted to know that I am headed into the homestretch with the book! A little off schedule, perhaps, but still plodding toward the finish line. Just to give you an update on incentives- your Quick Guides will ship at the end of July, along with the three videos (one more to go!). The book itself is slated for November... five months late, not too bad? It's SO hard to write a book with so much going on!

John McDonald and I were able to launch a company around implementing some of the concepts in the book- Mycologie, SPC, a Social Purpose Corporation. Stay tuned for interesting developments there- I've turned it over to John and his team now, and I've taken on the role of Senior Scientific Advisor on the Advisory Board so I can focus completely on getting this book in your hands! I can't wait!

Sunday I will be in Berkeley at the Bay Area Book Festival, on a panel with Jay Harman (fellow Biomimic, author of The Shark's Paintbrush, and CEO of PaxScientific). Check it out- it will be a huge event, 300 authors, free to the public! http://www.baybookfest.org. I'll be meeting with several publishers while I'm there.

And for your Superorganism fix, try this recent article I wrote for SwissnexSF for their Collaborative Leadership Workshop (which was amazing). 45 Global Change Agents learned about superorganisms and spent three hours applying the biological lessons from the book to their own leadership and organizations. And they were excited about it! This stuff works in real life! http://nextrends.swissnexsanfrancisco.org/is-your-workplace-a-super-organism-2/

Again, thank you so much for all your kind support on this project. Stay tuned!

Viva la r)evolution!
