Networked societies like ants, bees, and fungi scale their vast organizations differently than we do––by pooling diverse and independent experiences to create rich hotspots of abundance. We can do it too, and Teeming will show us how.

Free TEEMING Audiobooks for all!

Posted by Dr. Tamsin Woolley-Barker (Creator)

As a backer of my first Kickstarter, I wanted to again say a big THANK YOU again to YOU. You were one of my first supporters, and that means a lot to me. So much, that I named you in the acknowledgments for TEEMING. Yes, you are in there!

I wanted to let you know I have a new project, creating a workbook for helping organizations put the ideas in TEEMING to work. And, because I believe in the power of crowdsourcing to mobilize movements, I am running another Kickstarter to fund it. This is the last day of the campaign-- down to the wire! I am 80% funded, with another $3,000 to go. I know we can do it!

So, I have a question, three offers, and an ask for you.

First off, question: I want to make sure all of you received your rewards. I thought I had everything fulfilled, but I've had a few people say they didn't get something. If you feel that's you, please let me know, and I will get it right out to you.

Now here are the offers: The TEEMING audiobook launches tomorrow on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes. Until then, I’m giving it away! No catch. Just go to for your free download. Please feel free to share with your network, and invite them to contribute to the Kickstarter campaign if they like what they hear!

Second, I’ve found that talking to people is the best way to find out what is working and to strengthen the connections I've been privileged to make. I want to catch up with YOU! Please reach out to me at and let's schedule a chat! Tell me what you’re working on, how I can support you, and what we might create together.

Third, I love sharing content, so if you'd like me as a guest for a podcast, or an interview, article, webinar, panel, or whatever you can cook up, count me in! Just reach out on

Lastly, my ask: Please consider contributing to the new campaign! I have lots of great incentives, including holiday gifts ready to ship (like t-shirts and books, etc, at the $15-25 contribution level), as well as talks, workshops, and consulting for your organization! You'll get your name in the acknowledgments again too. If you’re thinking about contributing, now's the time!

Thank you again, I’m so very gratified by all your support. Let's put this over the top!

With much Love,

Dr T

Quick Books are HERE!

Posted by Dr. Tamsin Woolley-Barker (Creator)

Great news! I have quick books for you!!!

It's titled The Mycelial Way, and it is a series of infographic executive summaries of Teeming. The booklet was designed by my dear friend and Biomimicry Professional Ana Carol Freitas, with her  talented design team at COO Noos Cultura Creativa in Brazil. They are designed to be used separately or together, or for specific audiences. I'm incredibly excited to get these out to you!

I hope you enjoy them, and feel free to share. If you have a broader network you think might like them, I would be happy to offer parts of them as a freebie book promotion. Just let me know, and we can tailor it to your audience. I'm happy to write an accompanying blog post or do an interview or podcast with you––I'm looking for opportunities to get this information out to the world that will benefit you as well.

Looking forward to feedback, and THANK YOU again for your support and patience. This has taken SO MUCH longer than I ever expected! But I think it's worth it...hope you agree!

Warmest wishes,

Teeming Ramp Up!

Thanks so much for all your encouragement! Nothing beats a good cheering section!

I have a few things to share with you as I move into the 'prelaunch' phase. The new website is built out, with a new blog, and it's getting some good traffic. In case you were can read this quick (and inspiring) piece on why I wrote the book in the first place! I hope you like it!

The Biomimicry Institute just published my piece on How Would Nature Elect a President, which is all about collective intelligence and distributed leadership - and how superorganisms prevent parasites from hijacking their communication networks!

We also have a book launch page! It will live at as soon as I figure out how to point it there...until then, it is here

So now I'm creating your Quick Guides, which is a fun project in itself. I think you'll enjoy it and I hope it will be useful to you!

If you're wondering what you can do to help the launch succeed, I would love to know where you go for your own information. What do you read, what organizations do you connect with, which conferences do you attend? If you have a blog (or have some favorites to recommend), would you be interested in a guest post, or doing a podcast together? Creating an interview or a webinar? Would you like to do some kind of cross-marketing promotion? I have lots of ideas and content, and I'd love to hear yours. Let's do something cool together for our followers! And as always, I appreciate anything you want to share with your own networks!

Warmest wishes,

A Book and a Movie...

Hello my favorite Kickstarter supporters!

This is a juicy update--things are picking up steam over here. We have a March 2017 publication date, and the link for Teeming is on Amazon. The publisher tells me they already have 1500 preorders in the US, and more internationally. This is good... Barnes and Noble picked it up as well, which is apparently a rare and wonderful thing!

We're fine-tuning the copy edit, and as soon as we have the Acknowledgments embedded, you will receive your long-awaited e-book! (I know you want to wait for that, because you're in it).

Meanwhile, we launched the new website yesterday. Head over to and check it out! You can subscribe to my newsletter, and get a free copy of "How Would Nature Elect a President?" which Swiss economist Jamie Brown says "is the best election analysis I've read." (thanks Jamie!) PS. I don't mention any names in it and it's blissfully non-partisan. You can also see all our amazing endorsements, including Janine Benyus and Dayna Baumeister from Biomimicry 3.8, primatologist Frans deWaal, Earth Day Founder Denis Hayes, and Huffington Post Editor-at-Large Zem Joaquin!

Here is my 18-minute TED-style video from the Ellen MacArthur Foundation's annual Disruptive Innovation Festival, What can Superorganisms teach us about Collective Intelligence? It's shot in one of my favorite places––the breathtakingly beautiful Anza Borrego Desert!

Enjoy, and THANK YOU again for your wonderful support. Without your help I would never have made it this far!

Into the Homestretch! Quick Guides coming soon!

Hello Kickstarter supporters!

I have an update for you on the book, now (and forever) titled TEEMING: How Superorganisms Build Infinite Wealth on a Finite Planet! Again, thank you all so much. After three long years of working on this, the final manuscript is just a week from going out to the publisher! It's been a long, hard road, but I think the book is good, and I haven't forgotten you!

Once this final draft goes off, and I have a round of mimosas and a good long hike in the desert, I'll start putting your Quick Guides together!!!

The book is due on shelves in October and my happy-dance will be epic! I will keep you posted!

Onward! Tamsin
