Have a question?
Sorry for the trouble. A few of the international shipments did go missing. Please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) your current address and I'll send out another set. Thanks for your patience.
I still haven't received my thumbtiles... I answered my correct address a long time ago, in 2012 and sent you a message on november 2013. What happened?
I haven't seen your address come along. The address survey was sent out in September if you can locate that email. Otherwise feel free to email me your address: email@example.com. I'll get your shipment set up right away.
I still have not received my thumbtiles...
You may have things switched around Salim. The wood pads have a magnet side and an all wood side. The wood side gets the glue dot. The magnet side goes against the tile. If you find the tile magnets repelling instead of attracting, flip the tile around. When you have the tiles on the wall, the tile magnets will be facing out. Let me know if that helps things.
I am using the craft dots. They are not the problem because when the frame falls off, the pegs stay on the wall. The only things that fall off are the frame, the photo, and the matte backing. Would taking off the matte backing do the trick? I don't want to ruin the photos.
Try the craft dots. The magnets are plenty strong. It sounds like your walls will require the dots with more stick.
I got around to putting my thumbtiles up on the wall over the weekend. They looked great...for the first couple hours. While the glue dots are strong, i've found that so far, 5 of the 9 thumbtiles have fallen off the pegs. The magnets aren't strong enough to hold the frame up for more than a day. Please advise.
Hipstamatic offers a solid printing service for 7" prints:
Doesn't matter if the photos were taken with Hipstamatic, they can be from any source.
Anybody know where to get prints of instagram photos at 7x7"?
Any idea on the shipping date?
@Paul Sure. Let me know if you have an account on Paypal and I can send it over to you there.
Is it possible to add more thumbtiles to my pledge?
I pledged for 4 thumbtiles, but I noticed that Hipstamatic does a minimum of 9.
I can PayPal you the extra $40 for 9 if possible.
Had added the $16 for international shipping, but it makes more sense to ship to US for me now. Any chance of a refund on the shipping?
No worries Anders. I'm steven@thumbtiles... on Paypal if you are set up over there. Thanks for remembering that.
Hi Steve, Answering the survey, I see that I have not added the $16 for international shipping (Norway) to my pledge. Please tell me how I can do that now, as I don't want to miss out on the Tiles that I am really looking forward to! Thanks.
Steve, what's up with the shipping? I would think you'd have sent out the surveys by now... Please update us.
An early morning smile! Thanks for everything Steve!
The tiles have just arrived in the US and are working their way through customs now. I'll post a fuller update as I know more. Thanks.
Update please. Thanks
Great Steven. Looking forward to getting these soon -- I have a naked wall waiting for them for some months now.
Have you already worked out the delivery estimates for international delivery, tracking codes and that sort of thing?
On the boat and headed to the US now. I'll be in touch as they get closer. Thanks.
Are they ready for shipment?
Look for that in August, Dan. I'm going to hold off until the product is nearing the shipping warehouse, as some addresses may change.
Have the surveys asking for our mailing addresses been sent yet? I've purchased some tiles and have not yet received the email for my shipping address...?
No worries JA. I'm steven@thumbtiles.... on Paypal if you are set up over there. Thanks for remembering that.
I have pledged $40 but missed the opportunity on the kickstarter's site to add $8 for shipping to Canada. How can I do it now so that I can still receive my 4 pack of tiles? Hope all is well.
Are you already in a position to estimate shipping dates?
Thanks for the update, it would be great to see pictures...
As a backer of 60 tiles, more transparency and frequency in updates when a project is 5-6 months overdue is definitely called for. Had I known there would be so much trouble creating acrylic squares with embedded magnets, I might have not backed for so many or just fired up the Epilog and laser cut my own from scratch.
Three weeks since your last update, and 4 months past your estimated delivery date. Steve, please keep us in the loop as to where this project stands....
Thanks for your words, Spencer. Pulling something from of the mess is no small order. Feels like we're round the bend here now.
steven, want to give you some encouragement. Its a lot of working bring an idea to production, and China is a mess to deal with most of the time. keep up the work, still waiting for mine :)
Fair enough, Barry. Keep an eye out.
Thanks Steven, It would be great if you could post an update in the next week or so... Two months is a long wait for one. I hope you can get this one piece figured out soon..
Yes, this is a challenge. I appreciate your wanting to have these in your hands. We are held up by one piece right now. It is close and it is coming. These will very much happen. Bear with me a bit more here. Thanks Barry.
it's been 6 weeks since an update, and a few since your quick post here.. It is feeling like this is never going to happen... It was supposed to be in January, now it's almost the end of April, and it doesn't seen to be any closer to becoming a reality.. Could you please do an update and let us know when we can really expect to get our purchases?
thanks, for the news
Yes. I'm waiting on a further iteration of the wood pads. They are proving the most challenging piece to get made well. I'll be in touch with an update when I have those. Thanks.
Any new update? been almost 3 weeks since you posted anything .. Better communication would be appreciated.
Just posted. Thanks guys. -S
Update please.... thanks
Hello. It is March 2nd. I was wondering if we are any closer to receiving your product? Thank You.
