“Reveille 3’s music and choreography demonstrates a true commitment to the remembrance of our military history. We support their fundraising efforts as they seek to represent the Allied Forces of WWII…”
- John W. Hickenlooper, Governor, State of Colorado
Honoring the Past & Celebrating the Future
That’s right! We’ve been asked to sing at the 70th Commemoration of D-Day in Normandy, France and we want to share this sentimental journey with you!
About the Tour!
We can’t think of a better way to celebrate Reveille 3's 5-year anniversary than to sing in honor of our nations finest!
As one of a handful of performance groups selected for this honor, our performances will be in collaboration with the Alexandria Harmonizers, a 105-member men’s barbershop chorus from Washington, D.C.
From June 5th- 9th, our performances include events around the Normandy area, Sainte-Mère-Église Parade and Community Concert, Basilique Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Chartres, Luxembourg Gardens, plus the Cologne Cathedral and a collaborative concert on the Cologne River with the BiNG Barbershop Chorus of Cologne, Germany (produced separately by BiNG).
Why We’re Inviting YOU to Participate?
The ABMC and AMS do not provide any financial assistance to selected performing groups. That means, we are volunteering our time to represent our country at these historic events and we are not being paid for our time away from our regular schedule, our families and our lives. However, we strongly believe in being able to represent our US Veterans who are unable to attend themselves. This is why we need your help!
This is NOT a flexible-funded project. If we don’t make the $11,000 goal, we don’t get anything at all and we don’t get to represent veterans and the US at these events. That’s how kickstarter works. The future of this tour lies in your hands – no pressure!
For our donors, EVERYONE will receive:
- Backers exclusive updates about the tour
- Reveille 3 Newsletter with exclusive photos from the tour
- And an invite to our backer exclusive party in Denver, CO Summer 2014, Date TBD! Tickets as follows:
Donations Up To $150: 1 Ticket to the backer party Donations Over $175: 2 VIP Tickets to the backer party
We estimate the total cost of the tour to exceed $20,000 (Yikes! That’s a small house!)
The funds raised will primarily go to travel costs associated with the trip, including:
- Ground Transportation
- Meals & Incidentals
Additional costs are:
- Vocal Arrangement Creation
- Background Track Production
- New costumes and updating older ones
- Marketing & Planning of Tour
In addition to our Kickstarter campaign, we are seeking additional funding for the tour from corporate sponsorship and our fundraising concert tour of Colorado in May 2014. As of April 1st, we have already raised over $6,000 in private and corporate sponsors! (And that's no April fool's joke.)
If we get more than $11,000, we are going to use that money for Reveille 3 tour related work:
- Extend our stay to include performances for European Veteran’s Organizations!!!
- We’ll buy a New Video Camera to capture our adventure and create an amazing post-trip video to share with you!
- Modify our sets, props and performance equipment so they can more easily travel.
Thank you! Yes. YOU.
Thanks to you, our community will be bigger and stronger at the end of this campaign! You have our deepest respect and we are committed to honoring these new friendships by fulfilling the promises we made to you during this campaign and with our work in the future!
Welcome aboard the "Company B" Support Team!
Our Sincerest Thanks, Amy, Christine and Marnie
2014 is Reveille 3’s 5-year anniversary! It’s been a beautiful ride of creating music, telling stories and getting to wear our hair in super cool do’s! It’s also been a lot of work loading equipment in and out of many venues, rehearsing harmonies until we can’t think straight and practicing choreography until we are dizzy!
Although we originally got together for a one-time event, Reveille 3 has blossomed to performing over 70 shows a year, regionally and nationally, with our three original shows that tell the stories of women during the 1940s and woven with the music made popular by the Andrews Sisters.
Along the way we have met many Veterans and seniors who are intimately connected to the music we perform. We have spoken with their children and heard the stories of the Andrews Sisters music playing on the radio when they were young. And we’ve met the Millennial generation who are fascinated with a vintage lifestyle and are reviving swing dancing! And we look forward to meeting many new faces in the future and sharing the music of the Greatest Generation with them too!
a.k.a. “The Blonde”, Soprano and Founding Member
A Colorado native and a musical theater veteran through and through, Christine has sung her way across the US, Europe, the former Soviet Union and Finland. Along the Front Range, she has been thrilling audiences for 15 years at The Carousel Dinner Theatre, Friends of the Rialto Theatre Center, Augustana Arts, Performance Now Theatre Co. and Evolution Theatre Co. to mention a few. She performed the National Anthem for the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field and performs at her home church regularly. Her sincere and brilliant soprano voice is a treasure she lends to R3!
a.k.a. “The Brunette”, Alto and Newest Member!
From a young age, Amy has been drawn to the stage! She has performed all across the Front Range, including the Carousel Dinner Theater and Jester’s Dinner Theater. Her favorite musical pursuit (aside from the Andrews Sisters and the songs of the 1940’s, of course!) has always been a cappella music, and she has been involved in groups in Northern Colorado as well as the Chicago area. Amy brings her knack for choreography and rich, sultry alto voice as the newest addition to R3.
a.k.a. "The Redhead", The Other Soprano and Founding Member
Marnie’s natural stage presence has landed her appearances at Carnegie Hall, regional musical theatres and as the soprano soloist for the Savannah Symphony. In Colorado, she has been seen at Boulders Dinner Theatre, Candlelight Dinner Theatre, NextStage Theatre and Imagination Makers Theatre. She performs her one-woman cabaret shows regularly around Denver with her jazz trio ‘The Little Big Band’. (You gotta catch her Peggy Lee Tribute!) From her cabaret, jazz and theatre credits, Marnie blends her lush soprano voice to round out the harmonies of R3.

Risks and challenges
As professional musicians and actors, we understand the risks associated with making art. All of us have full lives that include family, friends and businesses outside of touring with Reveille 3. Each one of us has made a personal commitment of our time, energy and talents to ensure this tour is successful.
Travel always presents its own challenges and especially international travel. We have put a number of things in place to secure our travel at a reasonable rate, in a timely fashion and have the resources necessary for our performance support in a foreign country. But, you never know about the weather and since most of our shows are outside for this tour it should prove interesting managing the French weather in June! We think umbrellas and raincoats are in our future!
Lastly, this is our first Kickstarter campaign and although we’ve done a lot, and we mean A LOT of pre-planning, there will inevitably be some bumps along the way. We have put an amazing support team together to help handle the set-backs that can occur and will also celebrate the things that go right! Cheers!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
