MARATHON is the story of a young college student who, while driving back to school, finds himself caught in the middle of a chillingly callous murder, and must find a way to escape incrimination.
The film is being co-directed by Keith O'Hara and Jamie Edwards, and will mark their first joint effort as directors following graduation from film school. We are very excited about the script, and want to make MARATHON a short film that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. To accomplish this, we have assembled a team of talented individuals, including several industry professionals, as well as our producer Sam Carmichael.
Creating a short film of high quality cannot happen with a talented crew alone, however. There are many expenses, including food for the crew, insurance for the equipment and crew members, and equipment itself. As a team we have looked at our budget and whittled it down to a minimum of $4,500 dollars by obtaining certain elements for free (the RED camera, courtesy of DePaul University) and by crew members offering their services at substantially discounted rates.
This film cannot be made without YOUR help! While $4,500 seems like a large amount, we know that with your help, it is possible. We invite you to become a part of making this film a reality, and know that with your help, MARATHON will become a fantastic short film that will both thrill and entertain!
