Once again, we would like to thank all our supporters, backers and well wishers for your continued support! After the unforeseen and hectic events of the past few days, we have regrouped, and are now back on track with the Scribble Launch.

Our Scribble Invention has been two years in the making, and we are not about to disappoint our thousands of fans. We have every intention of making this project a success.

We are shooting a new, more detailed and informative video which will accompany the next launch. We will also be including some of the exciting additional features that we had waiting in the pipeline too!

Super Early Bird and Early Bird Spots will be reserved for those backers who got in at those price levels. We will also be adding additional reward levels for artist grade pigment inks and nib set add-ons.

Please continue to share our project with your friends, family, school mates and business colleagues. We are going to change the way the world uses color!

It is a bit unfair you are now using tilt.com to pledge for your project - this cannot be used outside the US or Canada !
I live in Europe - how can I pledge for your project now ??

    2. Creator Daniel Montanheiro on August 15, 2014

      Hi @gary sarff
      Thanks for your good wishes!
All backers for the limited spots will be personally notified a few hours prior to the release, so you can pledge again. If you miss the spot, don't worry, you can send an email of your original pledge confirmation that you received to pledge@getscribblepen.com.

      Hi @Aldir Ferreira
Yes, the same will apply to you as you put in a pledge for a limited spot, it will be reserved for you and the price will remain the same.

      Hi @Jesse Barnett
      Thanks for contacting us!
No, it will not be thrown by the wayside. You will however have to pledge again as it was an unlimited level. The price will stay exactly the same. You will receive a notification prior to the relaunch so you will know in good time when to pledge again.

      Hi @Jamie McMahon
      Thanks for writing!
The DOU was not a limited special so you will have to pledge again. The price will remain the same. You will receive a notification prior to the relaunch so you will know in good time when to pledge again

Don't worry if you if you miss the spot, just send an email of your original pledge confirmation received to pledge@getscribblepen.com. @Jessica_DeMay, @Muriel_Snijders: Your pledge was for this project. The project has been cancelled. Your credit cards will not be charged. If the creators of this project wish to fund the project again, it will have to be a new project. Your pledges will not carry over to the new project. Those who were lucky enough to have the super early bird would lose their spot and they will have to be quick to try their luck again. The pricing tiers and quota could also be totally different.

People only cancel projects for three reasons. 1. They do not foresee they will meet their goal, so they cancel early, and relaunch with better marketing. This obviously is not the case. 2. They underestimated the popularity and charged too little. Therefore, they want to start over at a higher price point. This is possible in this case. 3. They realise they cannot deliver the product. They could be having trouble with their prototype. Therefore, they cancel to give themselves more time to work on the project. There is a number 4, but let's give them the benefit of the doubt. 4. It was a scam right from the start. When too many people started asking questions, they cancelled, knowing the scam would be uncovered in time. Or else it was just an experiment - see how many people would fall for something. Or perhaps a litmus test or a focus group etc.

I'm almost 100% positive there's no way for them to reserve our pledges. The new campaign will be treated as well...a new campaign.

    12. Creator Robert Sloan on August 15, 2014

Everyone, it's not likely that getting your previous slot will be automatic. Kickstarter cancelled all pledged funds from this project, and you will probably have to agree to fund it again. At least, that's how I would want my money handled - imagine if every business you ever swiped your card at still had the right to make charges!

No, I don't have any clue how they intend to keep this promise, but I do agree that it'll be a good litmus test.

    13. Creator Steve Fish on August 15, 2014

Although I have no idea how you will accomplish the reservation of old pledges, this gives me some small modicum of hope that there is a future for this project. If the reinstatement of my old pledge happens without a hitch, I'm back on board. Consider that a tentative litmus test for the ongoing stability of this endeavor.

    14. Creator Jesse Barnett on August 15, 2014

So my level did not say early bird. It was the $199 for the pen and nibs. Is that now totally thrown by the wayside and now we have no idea what that same purchase would cost?

    15. Creator Jamie McMahon on August 15, 2014

I selected DOU Special - page still showing this is what I selected, but from the post above it sounds like only those specific 'Bird' pledge levels will remain as-is / honored at that pledge amount?

    16. Creator Muriel Snijders on August 15, 2014

      Hi Guys,

same question as my fellow backers; do I need to re-pledge or will this automatically be done like it was before? Would hate to miss out on this great opportunity!

    17. Creator Jessica DeMay on August 15, 2014

When I sign in, it say's "you're a backer." So do I need to re-pledge? Some clarification, please.

    18. Creator Aldir Ferreira on August 15, 2014

      Hi guys,

Hust the same doubt of "gary sarff" here. The only difference is that I opted for the "Pledge $199 or more". May I get the same price and option automatically reactivated?

    19. Creator gary sarff on August 15, 2014

      Hi scribble guys !!

I was reading your number 4 update, and it said super early bird and early bird spots will be reserved for people who got in at those levels. I was an Early bird with $149, does that mean we will be just reinstated and signed up for that support when you restart your campaign, or do we have to watch for the email and rush to get into one of the slots?
I am not up on how kickstarter does things so I did not know if though your funding campaign got cancelled, we still kept our places or not. Thanks a lot for reading this.
I'm not an artist but I love color all around me, and love your pen.
Hope you get the same response you got the first time round, funded in 5 hours :)
