Before having children I was a fashion designer, working for major high-street brands such as M&S, Kookai, I loved working in fashion but I felt that I could one day do something more creative. I would spend hours looking at trends and ideas in magazines, and more recently on Instagram and Pinterest.
I married my husband Chris in 2010 and we started a family together. Now that the children, Zack and Amelie, are old enough not to need 100% of my attention (only 95%!) I have been able to refine my ideas, and I have started up Azra's Attic, which will produce beautiful hand crafted decorations.
Our first range of products will be paper flowers. These follow a very exciting new trend where people want to add beauty to their homes, places of work, and events like weddings, anniversaries and parties. Azra's Attic paper flowers are individually hand made to look as perfect as nature's own creations, except that they don't fade away and can easily be given as gifts or kept as souvenirs of an important day.
Our launch is planned for early 2018, in time for the Spring and the wedding fair season. Before then, the only way to get a product from Azra's Attic will be through this Kickstarter, and everything you buy will take me one step closer to making this dream a reality.
Risks and challenges
The only risk, depending on demand for the products, is production capacity. Expected delivery for all products is December 2017 or earlier, and I will do everything in my power to keep to this timing.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
