We can ship out XXL shirts.

    9. Peter Kropf on October 23, 2012

What's the chance you can ship XXL shirts?

    10. Jason Montgomery on September 17, 2012

Thanks for the update on when the app will come out. Guess I won't install iOS 6 until November.

    11. OpenPlans Creator on September 17, 2012

We'll have the app ready in late October/early November.

    12. Matthew Litwin on September 16, 2012

When do you think we should see the release of the app?

Congratulations. I was getting nervous for a bit there.

    15. Jim Hayes on August 18, 2012

      You guys made it, congrats!

    16. Cole MacDonald on August 17, 2012

Almost there!!! Can't wait to see this fully funded

    17. OpenPlans Creator on August 17, 2012

      Benjamin, definitely!

    18. Benjamin Kabak on August 17, 2012

Question: If a friend and I are considering splitting a $400 pledge, can we both be beta testers as well? I know it's not one of the options, but we'd love to be able to beta test the app when it arrives.

    19. OpenPlans Creator on August 15, 2012

Justin, indeed we are! OpenPlans is 100% committed to OpenStreetMap for providing the base map data that powers our routing solutions and we OSM tile sets for our web mapping applictions. Thanks to your work on the MapBox iOS SDK now we can use those same tiles on the iOS client! Thanks!

    20. Justin R. Miller on August 15, 2012

I hope you guys will consider using the MapBox iOS SDK, which is a completely open source alternative to Apple's MapKit, allows custom data sources, and also allows offline use. I'm the lead developer on it and I'm happy to help out how I can.

@OpenPlans After I backed the project, I tweeted it to Leo Laporte, it may help gain extra traction (due to his podcast network). I hope it helps!

Looking forward to the Android version although I fully understand why you're prioritizing iOS 6. Thanks!

Hope you are successful and that your innovations are widely adopted. Please consider adding Washington, D.C. to your three other transit data posters. Our transit system is really quite beautiful and would make excellent wall art. Perhaps you could add some healthy inter-city competition by adding posters if a certain threshold of local backers step up.

Pledge Made , Very Cool Project / Looking forward to seeing and being a part of the success!

    26. OpenPlans Creator on July 24, 2012

Dylan, Thanks for the comment. We're looking at providing regional directions for trains and buses. Much of this depends on data. For example, if we can can get the official Amtrak GTFS, it makes the process a lot easier (they share it with Google so there's hope...). Same goes for inter-city bus services.

We'll keep this on the list of things to consider.

It would be great if you could add in options for getting around metro areas. Public transportation can only get you as far as the city limits. I am not able to drive so it would be great to be able to find ways from LA to SF without the use of cars. Also it would be awesome if users could input shortcuts or routes of our own.

    28. Jonathan Webb on July 23, 2012

I don't think I've ever wanted a project to be successful this badly before. I'd pledge more if I could! Good luck!
