Hello and thank you for checking out the Kickstarter campaign for Gi FlyBike. If you are not persuaded as to why you should invest in a new Gi FlyBike, please contact our founder Lucas Toledo directly by email and he can help you with any questions you may have. Lucas can be reached by email at: email@example.com. Thank you so much and we hope you enjoy our campaign. Best, The Gi FlyBike Team.
Gi FlyBike is an electric, smart, maintenance-free, folding bicycle with full size, 26” wheels that we created for the future of urban commuting.
Crafted from ultra lightweight aircraft grade aluminum, Gi FlyBike can be taken anywhere––bus, train, office, elevator, or locker––without compromise. Gi FlyBike gives people exactly what they need. Freedom to ride without excess or restraint.
Last year we launched a Kickstarter campaign for the first iteration of the bike that validated our concept, design, and features. We gained worldwide attention, with over 49,000 website mentions and coverage in more than 400 media publications.
Our last campaign led to the newer, more affordable, patent-pending Gi FlyBike, and a bigger and more dynamic team. We have built partnerships with Incutex, Goodwin Procter, Ribcap, DannyShane, Santex and New as well as an incredible mobile app. TUV, the Technical Inspection Association, now ensures that Gi FlyBike complies with European laws for electric bikes.
Plus, Gi FlyBike is $1,500 less than the original bike––with even more technologically-advanced features.

Gi FlyBike App: More details below.
We teamed up with Santex, a global software engineering company, to create the Gi FlyBike mobile app. The iOS version is fully-developed and now available for download on the App Store. We are finalizing the Android version and it will be available shortly after the Kickstarter campaign.
The app allows for full control of all the bike’s features including its electric assistance, GPS system, smart lock, and smart lights. On top of that, it has its own bike sharing program: loan your Gi FlyBike to a friend with a secure request access code; share your favorite routes over social media; and track your personal fitness statistics.
Gi FlyBike is not just a sustainable, technologically-advanced solution to commuting in cities. Gi FlyBike symbolizes our desire to change the world for the better. Commuting can affect our outlook on the day ahead but more importantly, it impacts our perspective, society, and planet. With Gi FlyBike we believe that thoughtful design and technology can take us into the next generation of transportation, to create more effective and eco-friendly cities with happier people.
We started Gi FlyBike in a basement with almost nothing. But we started with enough: an idea and an incredible passion that has since driven this idea to places we ALWAYS knew were within our grasp.
A few years ago, while we were living and working in Argentina, a national strike paralyzed public transportation across the country. The strike inspired us to delve into the kinds of problems commuters face, and to critically examine alternative forms of transportation.
During and even after the strike, we noticed that commuters wanted the kind of independence that is incompatible with public transit; they also wanted agility that cars cannot offer, with as little environmental impact as possible. This has been the inspiration behind the design of Gi FlyBike.
We chose Kickstarter for two reasons. First, Kickstarter and Gi FlyBike both take pride in fostering innovation, critical thinking, the assurance of quality, and community. Second, Gi FlyBike seeks to inspire green commuting around the world and can do so with the help of Kickstarter's global reach.

We have created the Gi FlyBike Founder’s Club exclusively for our Kickstarter backers. Our backers have been with us from the beginning, and we want to express our gratitude not only by saying thank you, but by offering something more tangible.
As a member of the Founder’s Club, you will get first dibs on our accessories (at reduced costs), specialized access to our service stores, invitations to our events and conferences, as well as your name engraved onto the wall of our Gi FlyBike office.
Please note: Backers are responsible for sales taxes and import duties, which will vary according to the country, state or province to which the reward is being shipped. Please use the following duty calculator to determine the estimated import duties and taxes for pedal assisted electric bicycles in your respective region.
We created Gi FlyBike with a minimalistic design, prioritizing the functionality over the aesthetics. After two years of work, we came up with a design specially built with the comfort, safety, and ease of use that daily commuters deserve.
We are proud to announce that Yadea Technology Group is bringing Gi FlyBike's design to market!
Yadea is global leader in the e-bike manufacturing world with over 18 years of experience in the industry. Yadea sells more than 3.2 million units to 5 continents and 66 countries annually, representing 10 to 15% of the e-vehicle global market share. The partnership provides Gi FlyBike access to the highest quality manufacturing capabilities available, as well as world-wide expertise in the e-bike sector. With Yadea as our ally, we can ensure a timely delivery of the product to our backers.
Gi FlyBike’s co-founder and CTO, Agustin Augustinoy, has already relocated to Yadea’s facility and is currently working closely with Yadea’s production team to assemble the first round of Gi FlyBikes.
The process of going from prototype to mass production involves testing our samples for safety, organizing distribution logistics, managing tooling costs, and then circling back and re-testing the entire manufacturing process.
In addition to producing the bike, we have designed a line of accessories that meet the needs of bike commuters, including briefcase holders, bike fenders, and mudguards.
Thank you for your support! Now for some bloopers.

Risks and challenges
Our team is fully committed to making Gi FlyBike the best it can be.
We have dedicated the last two years sourcing the best materials and selecting the most experienced suppliers in order to mitigate as many potential risks as possible.
At the moment, we have a fully functional prototype, and have run usability tests, which the bike passed with flying colors. All of the technical aspects of the mobile app have been tested and approved. It is now available for download on the App Store, and the Android version will be coming to Google Play shortly after the campaign.
Gi FlyBike is an ambitious product that will revolutionize and make mobility sustainable. Its innovation and technological development has been supported by institutions such as Incutex, the National Agency for Science and Technology of Argentina with partial funding from the Inter-America Development Bank (IDB). The project was selected from hundreds of projects to receive funding for technological innovation.
Gi FlyBike, like everything else on Kickstarter, is a work in progress. We believe in transparency and communication, so our backers will be the first to know about any unplanned hurdles or delays.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
