This documentary is a year in the life of a race car driver Cody. Cody is a 15 and drives in the super late model in Fl.
Life in the Fast Lane is a year in the life of Cody and his father Kevin for the 2011 season. This season was filled with highs and lows from engines blow and car wrecks but a lot of the drama wasn't on the track. There are times when the stress level gets to a point boiling over is an understatement but at the end of the week the family still makes it to the race.
Some words form Cody:
Hi! My name is Cody. I am 16 years old and live in Port Richey Florida. I have been racing since I was 4 years old.
I started in go-karts on both dirt and asphalt, oval and road courses. WKA road course asphalt and dirt nationals, even Indoor dirt Nationals. I have countless wins and top 5 finishes.
I have moved into different cars and found new opportunities in open wheel and late models. I will be running the FAST Tour (Florida All Star Tour) for the 2012 season.
This is a late model series with some of the best in the south. This will be an awesome chance for me to learn from some of the best in the country and hopefully be competetive. I also will be running a few open wheel races at Citrus County in Inverness Fl. I have raced all over the country from New York to Florida. which really gave me alot of racing experience adapting to the different tracks, track surfaces and driving styles of other drivers. My ultimate goal is to race Indy cars. I am really looking forward to the 2012 seaon running the late model tour and the Saturday night short tracks. My parents have devoted everything, time and money, to help me on my long journey. I am a hands on driver, I can work on my car, I mean I can pull motor, transmission, rearend and put back together, even setting up the car, (gears, scaling, stagger).
I'm very lucky to have parents that have taught me that if you want something bad enough you just need to work for it.
The money thats being raised is to pay for:
- Color/Sound Correction
- Other Post-Production Costs
- Editing Cost
- Music Rights
- Hard Drive

If I donate, when can I redeem my reward? All perks will only happen if our goal is met. When we meet our goal, (always think positive) immediately after our deadline we will contact you to start the process.
What if I don’t want the reward, I just want to support? No problem, a donation is always welcome and we thank you for the help.
Can we exceed the goal? YES! This would truly be amazing. Kickstarter will allow as much money as is given before the deadline. This is only the start of our journey; exceeding our goal would allow us to make a better movie and increase our chances of beginning production without delay. Exceeding our goal would be a amazing!
Can I increase my pledge once it’s been made? YES! Once you donate to our campaign, you may want to change your reward to a different one, or increase your pledge amount. To do so, go to Kickstarter and sign in. If you go to our campaign page, the green “Back This Project” button has been replaced with a blue “Manage Your Donation” button. Click it and you can enter a new amount, or choose a new reward.
What happens if the money isn’t raised in time? If we don't meet the Goal (please lets not think about that) before the deadline, your card isn’t charged, and no movie is made. (No negative thinking please!)
Where does the money go? Kickstarter will receive 5% then the rest goes to the film after the taxes are paid and minus the incentives. The rest will go directly to The Pool Cleaner movie budget--your funding of this film!
