About this project
Our story is simple. We are a bunch of talented industry professionals who come together to make a short movie once a year. Most of us work reality, corporate and government projects throughout the rest of the season, so for us to have the opportunity to produce a narrative is a great creative outlet. I even think we are quite good at it!
Here is our 48 Hour Film Festival entry from last year, "What About Will". Audience Award Winner.
This year we are back with visions of first place, but we can't get there without the basics. Our crew is together, but we need to make sure we have a few resources handy the weekend of the shoot:
- Wardrobe and props
- Logistic costs
- Festival fees
- Craft service
- Media costs (hard drives, memory cards, etc.)
The money that we raise from this campaign will go DIRECTLY towards these costs.
Last year's crew casting for the next day's shoot.
Bryan Litt is an independent filmmaker, DP, and writer from Washington, D.C.. His short films OCD Love Story, Changes and Educating Cooper have screened at festivals around the world, winning numerous awards for writing and directing. As a cameraman, Bryan has recently completed the shooting of several documentaries including the Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Best Documentary nominee "We're Not Broke."When he doesn't have a camera in his hands, he collects old records, vintage sports memorabilia, international folk art, and fine Kentucky bourbons.
Emmy Award Winning producer Jared Morgan was the editor for last year's production of "What About Will" and will be switching roles with editor Dave DiVerniero.
Jared is a full time producer with The United States Army Field Band, musical ambassadors of the Army. He creates all of their broadcast, web and educational content, and is the first producer ever to exclusively be assigned to an Army band.
Dave DiVerniero has edited films, national/international television and every manner of promotional video, but has no love like narrative fiction. One of his projects was descibed by actor Harrison Ford as "a great piece of filmmaking". Which shows just how far the man's standards have slipped.
