Help launch an album about a hippo who travels to nine countries on a magic air ballon and discovers a world of music and fun!
Hugo and Friends: Around the World is a new and innovative CD designed to include kids of all ages and all kinds of parents - regardless of their culture and background. Hugo and Friends is an exciting children’s album where a fun-loving, young hippopotamus called Hugo, through the means of a magic air ballon, visits nine different countries around the world, each country featuring a funny song about an animal from that country. The album will consist of 13 tracks with animal characters from Africa, India, Australia, Russia, France, UK, Mexico, USA and Brazil.
All the songs were written and performed by Garth Lombard. His goal is to use humor and music in a dynamic way that will relate to kids of all ages yet will also have an educational touch. The album includes ethnic instruments, accents and interesting facts...for most of the songs along with a map showing each country.
The original concept actually began when Garth was about 10 years old and was given a small Casio keyboard for christmas by his grandfather. He remembers spending hours making up little melodies and rhythms for various animals while his sister would act out the movements. Since then, he has refined his skill a little and has finally set the time aside to make this project come true.
Here is what we have so far:
. The story
. The characters
. The songs
. Some of the designs for the CD booklet
What we still need to do:
. Pay a professional to master all the songs to ensure the highest musical standards
. Pay for registering the copyright and trademark of all the tracks and characters
. Cover the costs of the first print and burn of Hugo and Friends first edition CD
. Create an interactive dynamic website for Largemouth Frog where you can explore a world of music and fun!
This album aims to inspire children to explore other countries and cultures more and have fun in doing so.
Hugo and Friends shows different characters, different countries and different stories, each with their unique accent, culture and background.
