One Last Milestone…
We are sitting at nearly $4300 as I type this. So, if we hit $4500, which shouldn't be too hard, I will print an additional 25 Hardcovers. And make them all available to people who missed out on this round.. I'll also sign the first 25 Hardcovers, but not the second 25. Fair?
More Milestones Hit and Set…
We reached $2500.
And with 7 days to go, we might hit the next two.
If we hit the $3000 goal, I shall commission a Color Map of the Valley, which will be available for a free download for everyone (in hi-res) who backs the project (for free). Future sales of the book will only include the new map inside the book in b/w and at prin size inside the book. A bigger JPG will be extra for them.
So. You get it for free, essentially, if we hit the target of $3000.
And this is a long-shot, should we hit the $3600 mark, I will print 50 HC (only, ever) alongside the project. These will be available for purchase after the project at $25 each for Kickstarter backers and $40-50 each for those who didn't back the project (not sure yet on the final product).
Milestone #4 Reached… Which Brings Us To…
We have reached the $2000 mark, which means you now get a 300-page adventure. With an alternate cover, just for kickstarter backers.
And that also means the next goal of $2500 is in front of me. And this I think is the best milestone.
If we reach $2500, I will include a social interaction game system inside the book, to help players and GMs navigate through myriad of NPCs and noncombat scenes. (Because let's face it, your game probably has a crappy mechanic for arguing with NPCs).

If we hit $2,000. You'll get a 300-page adventure. That's right. The adventure jumps from 200 to 300 pages if we reach the $2,000 mark.
And if we hit $2,500.... well.... I'll just wait to tell you that one.

Well. It looks like I owe everyone a 200 page adventure. So I guess the milestone of $1600 should be a 300 page adventure?
Nah. Too predictable.

Milestone #1 Reached. Project Funded. Update Below.
Thanks to everyone who so desperately needed to see their names in print that they funded this venture. Seriously, you rock. In three days, the project reached it's humble goal of $800.
So. Of course, that means being greedy and asking for more money.
So. The next milestone of $1200 means the book will be 200+ pages long. That's right. A 200+ page adventure.
Dang. I better start writing.
King for a Day is a long-term campaign adventure written and developed by jim pinto, author of the World's Largest Dungeon, Toolbox, Ultimate Toolbox, numerous d20 products, and a few other projects you may know of from over the years.
King for a Day walks gamemasters through a one-of-a-kind gaming experience mixing middle ages style fantasy with tension-ridden horror. The campaign-adventure includes nearly 100 NPCs, over two dozen plot threads, three hamlets, an entire valley to explore, charts, advice, timelines, and so much source material you won't be able to use it all the first time around.
