It is a heavy duty tough material usually used on luggage pieces because it is more resistant to abrasion and tearing than the regular fabrics. Our ballistic nylon is 1680D (denier).Last updated:
This canvas-like casual nylon has less shine than our ballistic nylon. At 1000D (denier), it is durable and resistant to abrasions, tears, and scuffs. We had our supplier specially make it for us because we wanted a nylon that gave a more casual feel to the bags.Last updated:
Our leathers are full-grain leather, the strongest and most durable part of the cowhide.Last updated:
Your JW Weekender weighs 2.8kg due to the heavy duty ballistic nylon and solid metal hardware used to make your bag tough and durable. Most of the lightweight materials out in the market are flimsy and couldn’t retain the shape that we wanted for the weekender or they were not durable enough.
We also knew that we wanted to create a versatile bag with many pockets and functions. That is why one of the main features that sets the weekender apart is the modularity of the backpack and sling. Without the backpack and sling pockets, the bag weighs 2kg (which is the average weight of duffles in the market).Last updated:

JW Weekender will be made in Shenzhen by a factory that’s been in business for 30+ years. It is one of the top 3 preferred factories in Asia that makes high end men’s bags and luggage due to their quality and workmanship abilities. We went with them because the final product speaks for itself. We believe in the beautiful products they make, and we know you will, too.
Mr. Leung, the owner, started his factory in Hong Kong in 1984. When the factory started, there were only 40 employees (including the production line). As they grew over the years, they had to move their factory to Shenzhen. Today, the company proudly employs over 2,000 people.Last updated:

Outside of US/Canada orders will ship from our international warehouses located in Hong Kong. Tracking may or may not be provided depending on the post service used.
Please note, it will be the buyers’ responsibility to pay for any Import Duty, VAT, and Customs Fees that may apply to shipping to their country. We cannot alter the value of your rewards on customs declarations - the value will be declared as the total value of the items contained in the shipment. We are a small group of passionate individuals located in the US and internationally, and we believe that all brands should carry the responsibility of delivering the best quality products that customers can buy for what they are paying. Simply put, you will not be able to find a product with the same quality as ours for the amount of money that you’re shelling out.
We are able to do this because we’ve taken out the middleman, and we’re not going to open any brick and mortar. This means more savings for our customers and more focus and dedication to designing the best and most functional bags we can.
We will live in the factory dorms for up to a month to make sure the products come out just right. You don’t get that type of dedication from any other design teams out there in the world.Last updated:
Because we are not taking the traditional retail markup on these bags, a big portion of the money goes towards paying the suppliers to purchase the materials and the factory to manufacture the bags. After that, we will use some of the money to start and run our small start-up. Then the rest of the money goes right back into product development for our next collection.Last updated:
