About this project
Brooklyn Gladiator is a comic created by Dan Fogler, illustrated by Tom Hodges, and written by Dan Fogler and Andrew Harrison.
More crust than pizza. More sick than healthy. More fluff than substance. Welcome to New York. You might survive the people, but you'll never get past the wall.
Brooklyn Gladiator is the lovechild of Orwell, Huxley and stoner conspiracy theories. It imagines a future dystopian New York in which nanites do all the work, chemtrails have become an all-consuming fog, and the constant threat of war ensures an isolationist government's absolute power.
John Miller is public enemy number one. He fights nanite-enhanced maniacs in the underground gladiator circuit and sells bootleg drugs far less contaminated than the government's brand. Psychic abilities have surfaced in John's mind, allowing him to bypass the state's tech and access ancient knowledge. John's talents will send him on a journey against the machines that govern his city as he deconstructs their regime and the very concept of civilization.
Brooklyn Gladiator was created by actor/writer/director Dan Fogler. Making an exceptional transition from theater to film and television, Tony award-winning actor Dan Fogler has most recently been seen starring opposite Josh Duhamel in SCENIC ROUTE, and in DON PEYOTE, a film which Dan also directed, wrote, produced, and starred in opposite Topher Grace and Anne Hathaway. He was also the lead in TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT, BALLS OF FURY and FANBOYS.
Aside from his work in features, Dan can currently be seen as one of the leads on ABC's new drama series, SECRETS & LIES, opposite Ryan Phillippe and Juliette Lewis. He’s also a recurring character on ABC’s THE GOLDBERGS as the hilarious “Uncle Marvin.” Previously, he starred on NBC's critically acclaimed series, HANNIBAL, and on the ABC sitcom MAN UP!
