Seven Days: A Haunting Collector's Edition
We want to create a limited physical collector's edition package for the Seven Days visual novel by LIFE0 and Fruitbat Factory.
This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Fri, October 12 2018 5:01 PM UTC +00:00.
Let's play an Occult Mystery visual novel where all the heroines are dead!
Seven Days With You: the Most Precious Memory in Our Lives (aka Seven Days) by LIFE0 is our biggest visual novel release yet. With top industry voice actors and art by the highly popular artist Miko who's illustrating a game for the first time ever, Seven Days has been well received in Japan.
We are now happy to announce that Fruitbat Factory is releasing a dual language (English and Japanese) version of Seven Days this year - and we'd like to make an awesome physical Collector's Edition version of it (in no less than two different versions!) You can help us make that reality in return for limited edition goods, and maybe even fund additional content!
About Seven Days
Seven Days is a passion project by LIFE0, who funded the visual novel's production in Japan via a crowdfunding campaign. With top industry voice actors and the popular artist Miko in charge of the art, the campaign was highly successful and the game proceeded to a retail release in the biggest stores in Japan.
At Fruitbat Factory, we co-funded the production and co-published the game, and are now looking forward to bringing it to all English-speaking audiences as well.
The game's translated by Conjueror (SeaBed, Tokyo Babel, Himawari) and the translation is already finished. It is currently being edited by Tyabann (Higurashi, MYTH, Evenicle). Our estimated release is December 2018.
Seven Days will feature beautiful Full-HD (1920x1080) graphics and English and Japanese text options with Japanese voice acting.
A couple days before the summer holiday starts... Kanzaki Shuuichi receives a “cursed Blu-ray disc” from one of his friends.
Playing it at home, a female ghost emerges and possesses him. Sairenji Murasaki, Shuuichi’s childhood friend, expels the evil spirit with the exorcism skills taught by her father, who runs a time-honored Japanese Buddhist shrine. The ritual, however, is only partially successful, somehow leaving behind the physical human form of the female specter.
She identifies herself as Mikanagi Chiyako, seemingly the girl who was murdered in the video recorded on the Blu-ray disc, and tells Shuuichi and Murasaki about her situation.
“There are six other girls inside me.”
Murasaki explains that a ghost is only allowed to exist for forty-nine days in this world, meaning the seven girls can each have seven days. Shuuichi then makes up his mind to assist all of them in spending their remaining days without any regrets and passing away in happiness.
Shuuichi, however, does not realize what will happen to him later. He does not realize that he will have to see each of the seven girls depart from him.
*The art and designs in the preview pictures are subject to change.
Kickstarter Goal and Stretch Goals
After much deliberation to reach a balance between goods we want to include, and the cost of the rewards, we have decided to offer 2 different limited physical editions:
- An affordable Collector's Edition, which will be an awesome addition to any collection. Includes the game and 28 page visual artbook.
- An even more awesome Special Edition which will ship in a larger premium box and also include a dakimakura of the game's heroine "Chako". We can only include the dakimakura at such an affordable price point due to bundling it with the game to help bring down the production cost by volume.
Funding that exceeds our goal will help cover the localization expenses, and make the game even more excellent via the stretch goals.

Schedule & Shipping
The localization of Seven Days is already close to finishing, and we expect to release the game around December 2018. Physical rewards may be shipped later.
Interweave Productions LLC. is assisting us on the campaign's U.S. based operations, with Fruitbat Factory responsible for running the campaign and delivering the rewards.
Unfortunately, due to import laws and customs, WE CAN NOT SHIP TO: Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Afghanistan, as well as active war zones, so please note this regarding the physical rewards.
LIFE0 was founded by Kita Tomokazu, also known as "Major Tom" in doujin activities, for the purpose of bringing Seven Days to life. We'll let him introduce the company:
"When I was a child, I would play a lot of action games and had this incorrect impression that gal games were only for people feeling lonely. However, an all-ages gal game, CLANNAD, changed my whole life. I'd been under the impression that gal games were nothing more than simulated romance with pretty girls, but CLANNAD opened my eyes to the fact that they could be a container for wonderful stories.
That was what made me start developing my own gal game. My set of values related to the genre literally took a U-turn at that time. I had the opportunity to work with a video game company on a couple of commercial adult games, and they told me that all-ages gal games sold much less than adult ones, and that was why they were not positive about making all-age games. Despite knowing all that, I believe all-ages gal games still have a lot of potential.
Ever since I started to develop my all-ages gal games as a doujin circle, I’ve learned a lot of things that have convinced me that they can do well. My goal is to make all-ages games that attract a lot more people than ever. I want to make games that people can enjoy just like they enjoy manga and/or anime, games that people don’t even consider whether they are all-ages or not."
The production of Seven Days was successfully funded, and it became LIFE0's first commercial release.
LIFE0 is currently running a crowdfunding campaign for their next title, LOST:SMILE - Memories + Promises. While the campaign is for fans in Japan, please keep an eye on it as well!
About Fruitbat Factory
In operation since 2012, Fruitbat Factory publishes interesting Japanese games of all genres.
We are best known as the publisher of the online board game 100% Orange Juice. Our other releases include Eiyuu Senki - The World Conquest for PlayStation 3, SeaBed, Chuusotsu! 1st Graduation, ENIGMA:, Miniature Garden, Magical Eyes - Red is for Anguish, QP Shooting - Dangerous!!, Xmas Shooting - Scramble!!, 200% Mixed Juice, Sora, Acceleration of SUGURI 2, ManaCollect, 99 Spirits, and the War of the Human Tanks series. We were also in charge of the localization of Little Busters! for VisualArts.
Risks and challenges
We are already in the process of localizing the game and will release it regardless of the success of the campaign. The campaign is solely for the production of the Collector's Edition and other physical goods listed here, as well as for funding new content via stretch goals. The delivery of the main reward - the game itself - is not at any risk, save for acts of God.
We have already run successful Kickstarter campaigns for Chuusotsu! 1st Graduation, and Orange Juice Plush Toys, so we have a fairly good idea of what to expect from running and fulfilling a campaign.
We are committed to making a quality release, and as such we can't sign an absolute release date beforehand. If we see that more work needs to be done, we'll do it even if it means pushing back the schedule.
It is possible we will encounter unforeseen delays in the manufacturing or shipping of reward items, or need to change related service providers.
To sum it up, delays in delivery are the most likely risk in this project. Please treat any dates seen in the project as reasonable estimates.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
