Schedule Update, Dakimakura Preview
Hello good backers!
Sorry it's been a while since the last update - we tried to reach a good milestone to give an update on but it ended up dragging on. We've also been hoping week by week that we can still make the original release date and share good news about that, but it's become obvious now that it's no longer plausible.
Earlier this fall, our translator had to relocate to a new country, which created an unexpected delay at our end, but after considering our options we decided we'd still rather accept the delay and not put extra translators to work on the game to make up for lost time, to preserve the internal consistency of the translation. This is especially important since the complexity of the text in Chuusotsu can be very high at times.
Things have settled down now and the translation of the game is currently almost finished, and editing is already well underway. However, programming and testing will take time as well, so release this month, like we'd originally estimated, is not realistic. We are very sorry about the delay.
If we receive the rest of the materials, such as the new CGs and scenario edits without undue delay, the updated release window estimate for the game is in March 2018. If physical goods take longer to get into production, we will deliver the digital rewards first. Of course, this is just an estimate and if we're ready before that, we will deliver the game earlier.
On that note, we've received an update regarding the goods from Studio Beast. The gorgeous dakimakura art is now complete! We're sharing a preview of it with you here - just click on the link!
The stick posters are also almost finished.
We were also happy to hear that the stretch goal-funded side story, Chuusotsu - 1.5th Graduation: The Moving Castle has been making great progress already, with scenario and CGs now complete.
The new opening movie for Chuusotsu - 1st Graduation is also almost complete, look forward to it!
All of this is possible thanks to your support, for which we are very grateful. Please look forward to more news!
Let's do philosophy!
