I know some of you are wondering and yes that is me at my real job in the video. In today’s society, most of us are stuck having to take any job we can get. We work constantly just to make ends meet which forces us to put our dreams on the backburner. We often sacrifice and do the things we have to do instead of doing the things we love to do. Using this topic as inspiration, I am finally releasing my debut album, Weekend Rapstar.

During the week I’m Calvin Harris, a mild mannered consumer electronics salesman at one of the world’s leading retailers. On the weekends I transform into, KnowItAll, a rap superstar/ hip-hop hero who uses his powers for truth, justice and to entertain the people! I travel, write, rock shows, go to the studio, and collaborate with other artists.

There are millions of people just like me all over the world: part-time artists, writers, musicians, designers, dancers, techies, etc. Most of us are passionate, talented people just looking to catch a break and live out a dream. With Weekend Rapstar I want to reach those people. I want everyone to enjoy the music and have a good time, however this project is truly meant to inspire. I hope to encourage people to embrace their God-given talents and to live for their dreams and passions. I also want people to hear this project and get inspired to rally for justice and fight for equal rights. I did this album for the people and now I need your help to make my voice heard!

This is where you all come in. In hopes of making Weekend Rapstar the best album possible l am asking for any donations that you can provide to assist with the album’s completion and promo. The goal is to raise $8,000 to help produce a quality music video for the first single, get the album professionally mixed and mastered, press up limited hard copies, get physical and online promotional campaign materials and merchandise, and throw a record release party. I put my heart and soul into this album, time to let it live!
