Get ready for titanic-sized adventure in the exotic universe of Lords of the Cosmos in its thrilling third issue!
Welcome back to the exciting and dangerous Aiden, the world of the Lords of the Cosmos! In the third issue we build depth to our heroes' backstories as the Lords of the Cosmos try to bring order to a world that run afoul with both magic and technology. We want you, dear reader, to join us as we connect the dots from Aiden's ancient past to the present day conflict between the evil Umex and his arch nemesis, Aegeus, the mysterious leader of the Lords of the Cosmos.
This issue will contain 36 black and white interior pages including part three of the main story (11 pages) that picks up right where the issue two cliffhanger ended. It includes two short stories (22 pages in total) covering different aspects of the planet Aiden and detailed scale drawings for both Disciples of Umex and the Lords of the Cosmos by superstar artist Jens Bengtsson. We have created two main covers and four variant covers for this issue, but just in case that's not enough for you we always offer a sketch cover so your favorite character can grace the cover page.
So just like we asked you for the first issue & second issue, sit back in your recliner with your favorite heavy metal music on the stereo and check out Lords of the Cosmos issue #3 - you won't regret it! Thanks for joining us again for this 1980s experience.

LORDS OF THE COSMOS, PART THREE
Previously on Lords of the Cosmos, the mighty eagle Aviteus caught sight of the villain Umex and flew to warn Aegeus, but Umex quickly sent Cy-Corn & Pustulance to take the winged warrior out of the sky. For those who've never taken this journey with us, here's the best way to understand a LORDS OF THE COSMOS story: take all your retro action figure and geek out fantasies, throw them in a blender with some cheap tequila, put that bad boy on high, and drink whatever mangled, gnarled mess comes out!
Thirsty? We thought so. Because we're headed into a brave new world in part three of this cyber-fantasy-sci-fi wet dream - we've got exploding inter-dimensional bile demons, violent talking bird warriors, genius plant men trapped in mech suits, sniveling bio-mechanical unicorns, and a fallen Earth god who's been hiding out in a mountain range made from the spine of an intergalactic star dragon. Issue three finally reveals our secretive heroes in this genre-smashing epic. In these pages, we wax existential on violence, war, and heroism while giving you what you came for: grown-up, 80s-inspired mayhem for the Saturday morning cereal crowd. If Skeletor had a drinking problem, this is the kind of story he would love.

"TASTE THE DIRT"
Alright, two-leggers - do you want to hear a story about sword-swinging orchids, cactus people, redwood warriors, and algae zombies? I thought you would. This is the tale of roots, not arms; branches, not legs. It's the story of the peaceful planet Aiden in a time before men, before planet-wide machines churned the ground. It's a heartbreaking tale of the last talking plant in the world. Imagine H.G. Wells meets Lovecraft meets Thundercats. Yeah, that's what you get in this issues boundary-pushing page buster, "Taste The Dirt."

"BUG WITH A SHOTGUN"
Meet Stinger, a six-foot wasp who collects human skulls as trophies and carries a pump shotgun. Where did he get it? Why does he need it? And how do his weird wasp legs pull the trigger to actually fire the damned thing? Stop asking stupid questions, meat sack! You came for a battle royale, and this doesn't disappoint - as we're taken high over the Blackgem fields of planet Aiden, to a city-sized giant moth that houses the outposts of the Waspulians, a race of insect warriors who've long thought themselves outside of the rules, and wars, of men. But you can't stay out of the fray forever, and when a bunch of gas-mask wearing Smega Crazy Berserker Bandit Boys land on the back of the city moth to pillage in the name of Umex, its up to Stinger to do what he can with what he has, which, unfortunately for everyone else, just happens to be a shotgun.

We love seeing our favorite artists bring Lords of the Cosmos to life with their own unique visions. Issue three will have four variant reward covers by Jason Lenox, Jeff Lavezoli, Zach Snyder, and David Newbold. Unfortunately, Jeff's cover was not completed to put in the campaign as of the last day (11/11/2019) , so that artwork will have to be added in later as an update.
Just like the last Kickstarter, we're going to have some really exciting rewards including pages from Jason, Zach, and David; sketch covers; and variant covers. And no, we didn't forget the Jason Lenox 2019 convention tour t-shirt!
We will open up the opportunity for you to be drawn into issues 4, 5, and 6 starting at donations of $100. Are any of you daring enough to adventure alongside the Lords of the Cosmos or do you desire to pillage with the Disciples of Umex?
The original pages of artwork for the three stories are available as rewards in this Kickstarter. Gallery links will be made available for backers to choose the original artwork they want to receive after the campaign is over.
Stretch Goal - If Lords of the Cosmos #3 goes over $4500, every backer at the $15 and above will receive a laptop sticker.

Risks and challenges
As usual the risks on this project are minimal. As of the launch of this Kickstarter in October 2019 Lords of the Cosmos Issue Number 3 is about 80% completed. The book needs some finishing touches and lettering then it will go to our printers to get made into a physical book. This is my 10th Kickstarter and the prior 9 were all completed successfully and on time. As always, I like to have the majority of the book completed before I launch it out to you on this platform to crowdfund! I have a very generous timeline to get this done to account for unforeseen delays.
I hope you join in and support Lords of the Cosmos #3 in 2019!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
