***CAMPAIGN OPEN TO INTERNATIONAL BACKERS****

Don't Forget to vote for Space Geekz at on Steam Greenlight!!
Space Geekz - The crunchy flakes conspiracy is a 1st person point & click Adventure. The game resembles the games of an era, where gems like Normality Inc. or Toonstruck kept us in front of the old CRT-screen all night long.

Beside being fully playable in English (text only), the game will also come with German Audio Speech. Well we have no Hollywood actors, but some nice Equipment and alot of volunteers who help us with the voice acting to make this game even better. Btw: The Game is "Made in Germany" (Lübeck to be more precise). :-)
For all German fans: Ich habe hier auch den Trailer auf Deutsch für Euch:

Till and Adrian are in their mid 20s and working at the Space Geekz Corporation, delivering game consoles and arcade machines throughout the whole galaxy in their old rotten space freighter.
But one day, in the endless space of the galaxy, something went terrebly wrong: Adrian wakes up with a big bump on his head. Till is gone and the freighter is grounded on an abandoned planet.
But what looks like a normal work accident at first, becomes a conspiracy: This is the story about stock trading cannibals, radiactive crunchy flakes, tasteless videogame homage and lots of point & click action from the good old 90s. Of course in pixelated Fake-VGA with amazing 256 colors!

Since I only work in my free time on this game. The developing costs can be kept quite low.
However, the costs for Animation & Sound Editing Software (120 EUR) are digging a deep hole into my pocket.
The same for steam developer fees (90 EUR) (don't worry international backers get a DRM-Free Version on microSD Card) and costs for SFX and Music Licenses (ca 150 EUR).
The 420 EUR funding goal is used for those expenses and will make of course have a big effect on the quality of the finished game.

To reduce the costs because of the new EU VATMOSS regulation, international backers (non German backers) will get the game as a physical copy on an microSD Card delivered to your home.
The Space Geekz - International pledge is 12 € + 2 € shipping and contains all Extras of the German Premium pledge.
All German backers can go for the German only pledges and received the game as digital download. 8 € Standard / 10 € Premium Edition.
Either way, the game you get will be DRM-FREE and will feature the identical Game (both English + German language included).

Since the value is below 15 EUR, there should be no problem with Customs in most countries. Backers from EU do not even have to care about customs, since the game is shipped from Germany.
The estimated release is May 2017, however it is possible the game will be finished earlier or little bit later. I hate game deveopers throwing out a game that is unfinished or buggy just to keep a certain date. Shipping shuld be fast (since it's a letter not a box) and of course I'll help you out if the game should get lost on the way to you.
*** STRETCH GOALS***
> 500 EUR: For all Premium/International/Hardcore backers:
Walkthrough PDF will be upgraded to a lovely
story e-book, containing not only the walkthrough
but also background stories about
all places and characters in the game.
> 1000 EUR: To be announced...

What are the minimum Hardware specs for Space Geekz?
Space Geekz should run fine on most Computers/Laptops build in the last 6 years.
Minimum Specs:
- Windows 7 or higher
- Single Core or Dual Core CPU 1.8 Ghz
- 1 GB RAM
- OpenGL 2.0 supported GPU with 256 MB Ram or more
- 16:9 or 16:10 Monitor/Screen highly recommended
Why should I use a 16:9/16:10 Monitor/Screen?
Space Geekz is a 1st Person Render Adventure.
So all graphics are created in a fixed resolution ans aspect ratio. (1920x1080, Full-HD/Widescreen).
Therefore, I recommend to play the game on a monitor/screen that is 16:9/16:10 widescreen aswell. Else you might end up with black bars or have to play the game in a smaller window.
The screen does not have to run in 1920x1080. But of course it looks best in this resolution ;-)
Is there any difference between the Version of the International pledge and the German Only pledges?
No. They are identical. Both offer German Text&Audio and English Text mode.
I read the game will have German Voice, but only English Text?
Yes. The game will have german Voice/Speech. However you it has fully localized Text in English. So you can enjoy this game in English aswell.

Any plans for Steam Greenlight?
Yes, the game will be at Steam Greenlight soon. However, the game will be available on other plaforms too. However the price might be higher then the prices in the pledges.
Any chance to get this game as digital download outside Germany?
No. If you live outside Germany, please choose the International pledge
to grab your physical copy.
The reason for that are the EU VATMOSS rules. Making delivery of digital goods such as download to foreigners very very complicated and expensive.
Can I have the game on floppy diskette?
No. Studies proved that ship containers do not fit into regular letterboxes :-D

Risks and challenges
I work on that game in my free time. So there is also a real life i have to tackle. It is possible that one of the volunteers for German audio will jump of or the game gets a little delayed because of lack of time. However as long as now natural desaster is going to grill all my backup copies or myself, there should be no serious risk. This game is my baby, and i wanna make it done :-).
