About this project
Obama $ellout T-shirt Project
Many of my friends, comrades and acquaintances have asked me where they can get a t-shirt of my Obama Sellout Poster. This artwork was made as a satire of the famous Obama/Fairey campaign poster of 2008. After experiencing Obama's failure to fulfill the promises and expectations of his election, it's clear to me he has sold us out to the corporations and their war machine. The extent of this "sellout" is described in the poster's background with a list of his broken promises and crony corporations.
Locally Printed in Oakland, CA with Environmental Waterbased Inks on USA Made Cotton T's
I found a local printer who does great work with waterbased silkscreening on high quality American Apparel 4.3oz. t-shirts. They are made in the USA and printed by a neighbor artist in Oakland CA. These t-shirts are creme colored with three color silkscreen, no base white, having a soft feel and old school look. It's the comfortable kind of shirt you will like to wear.
This project, with your help, will provide funding for the first print run, with hopefully many more to come. Obama is a cinch in 2012 and will continue to bat for corporate profits and empire over the best interests of the 99%. Is there any way to stop his sellout to the 1%? Maybe if he see's one of these shirts on one of his constituents?
Fine Art Poster Prints Too!
Along with the t-shirts I am offering 18 x 24" fine art poster prints of the Obama $ellout Poster. They are printed by me, one at a time, from my Epson 7600 ultrachrome printer on heavyweight matte enhanced paper. There are two versions: a simpler 4-color version like the t-shirt art...
or a more arty 6-color version....
These prints would cost around $75 if ordered from your local service bureau. Or, you can choose any one of among over 100 of my poster artworks located at my website poster page: http://www.bluejayway.net/PoliticalArts.html#Anchor-Poster-4709
