AluminumCanCraft (Recycled the FUN way) needs Press and Dies
It takes longer to cut the parts than to assemble the aluminum can bi-plane. A press and dies will increase finished item availability.
AluminumCanCraft is Handcrafted Recycled Aluminum Can Novelties. Until recently, over the years I have been making AluinumCanCraft when I needed a few extra bucks or a gift. Times have changed and I now need a monthly income. A press and dies would save time preparing the parts for assembly. Right now, it takes much longer to cut the parts than it does to assemble the finished item. A press will mean more finished items can be produced in a shorter amount of time and the parts will be cut more precise. The novelty will still be handmade, even with some of the parts being cut by press and dies.
I have been designing and making aluminum can novelties for 30 years. I make several different items-bi-planes, trains, ships, jalopies and Christmas ornaments. I also have many patterns that I haven't produced yet. With a press and dies, I could have someone else cut the parts and I can concentrate on assembly and future projects.
I am sharing my color illustrated manuals and finished Bi-Planes and Trains as rewards for helping me raise $10,000 for the press and dies for the Bi-Plane, which is the favorite item. Since they are handmade from recycled cans, one person can only make so many in a day. The more people making AluminumCanCraft, the less aluminum cans making it into the landfills. The manuals are fully color illustrated and I have not received a complaint in the many years I have been selling them. Parts and Tools needed for each item is available on my website.
Not everyone will want to make AluminumCanCraft but want the finished item. They make excellent gifts and conversation pieces. The items sell themselves.
Risks and challenges
One obstacle I foresee could be the availability of specific pop or beer cans in the event that someone wants special cans. Flavors readily available would include: Coke, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, 7UP, Bud, Bud Light, Miller Draft and Pabst. I have a good supply of used cans so feel free to ask about other flavors. A local church supplies me with most of the pop flavors. Friends and relatives supply the rest.
Finished item rewards are offered in limited quantities due to time restraints.I offer only as many as I feel comfortable that I can produce within three months while I have the press and dies made. This is perfect timing for this project because Jan, Feb and Mar are my slowest months.
