Over the last year, we've worked with one of the top silk manufacturers in the world to create a blouse we believe is the absolute best quality. We've produced countless production samples to perfect our fit, find the perfect silk crepe and delight you with with introductory prints curated by our community. The capital outlay to meet the minimum order quantity is substantial, and not something we can do on our own. We need your help to make this silk blouse a reality.
We've chosen a beautiful 16mm silk crepe from Zhejiang, China. Thicker than most silk blouses you'll find, so that you won't have to worry about sheerness.
It's not too boxy, with enough room at the hips, and nipped in ever so slightly at the waist. We know that blouses can be a bother, so we've added a hidden button at the bust for extra comfort.
Silk should be super soft, right?! The blouse is peached (yum) so you can have your 'I can't believe it's not butter' moment with every wear.
A blouse of this quality would typically sell for over $250 at retail. We've cut out the middlemen and we're selling directly to you. We've made luxury accessible, but most of all, fun.
To care for your blouse we suggest a gentle hand wash in cool water, or dryclean only.
We offer standard US sizes XS-XL. You will be able to select your size once the project has been funded. We'll send you a form where you can select your size. I recommend choosing your regular size. For reference, myself and our models are all wearing a size small (I wear a size small in Madewell, and a size 4 in JCrew). Our blouse length is 27 inches.

My name is Maddy, and I'm the co-founder of Popbasic. I created Popbasic in June 2013 with my co-founder, Coen after relocating to San Francisco from Australia. Thanks to our creative director, Hannah our collections are brought to life via the most beautiful video and photography imaginable.
Since our launch we've shipped thousands of parcels all over the world. In my previous life I worked as an economist, and Coen is a full stack engineer.
We want to make it effortless for women to create a wardrobe of beautiful basics. But most of all we believe that luxury should be affordable, and fun. Come along on the Popbasic journey, the more the merrier!
p.s. If you're wondering why we've started with a strawberry print, it's because my obsession with strawberries goes back as long as I can remember. I've given myself hives on multiple occasions! What's your favorite food?
Risks and challenges
We’ve already produced over a dozen samples to perfect the fit, fabric, and prints. Over the course of 18 months we have shipped thousands of parcels all over the world, so we don’t anticipate a delay in shipments.
However, delays and unforeseen obstacles are always possible, and with Chinese New Year occurring during this period, we could have a short delay due to the increase in orders our manufacturers receive during the holidays.
Our team is very responsive, and should you ever have any questions about our process or your blouse, please reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
