Thanks for responding David. You bring up some good points that I had not thought of, but that is nothing new for me ;o) Given the increased visibility you mentioned, and that playability most certainly has priority over an insert, I have to agree with you (and, of course, @Creator)...the order is definitely appropriate. But, I'll keep hoping for that insert, and its even closer now! Go Team Go!
@TommandJonna: It's more of a @Creator question than a Designer one :)
It's not my decision, but I prefer it this way: the transparent tokens mean it's very easy to see the numbers on the tracks, whereas the game is perfectly functional (and shipping safe) without an insert. Obviously, having an insert is better, I'm not against it :) And hey, it's only 8k away! :)
Is there ANYWAY we can switch around these two stretch goals? At least for me, my wife and I would much rather up a pledge for a nice insert first, and then if we can afford to, up it further for the glass beads. Thoughts??
@Radu P: don't worry, I'm an obsessive sleever too :)
Some great stretch goals! I hope the glass beads are going to be like the small uniform ones used in the second edition of Viticulture, and not the lousy vase-variety beads you see in some games. The Viticulture ones are really easy to read through and actually feel like a component rather than something thrown in the box.
Will the glass beads replace the cardboard or are they an addition? Just asking because I really love cardboard. It has a unique design where glass beads are more generic. Anyway, happy with what I get.
I will personally sleeve all the cards and put them in the box to check :D. (We’ll make a proto of it before we send it)
When you develop the insert, please, take into account the obsessive-compulsive backers who sleeve everything. We tend to be the loudest whiners. Thank you!
