Let's bring back the old fashioned fun!
Plug in a controller (highly recommended) and start a game. Some friends are passing by? Let them join you on the fly to kick some Titans asses. They keep bragging, telling you that THEY carried the game? Launch the Versus mode and show them what you got! Choose your Character and a Super Ability, then brawl until the only thing left is a completely destroyed environment with your crushing victory on top!
Upperz utilizes Unity's physics with a home made destruction solution called the "Brittle System". Nothing is pre-calculated, everything happens on the fly at incredible speed to allow for organic destruction as well as an optimized experience. I stress test it on my smartphone which is pretty dope!
Almost everything you see in the game can be sliced, dented, or completely smashed into smithereens.

What is the money for?
The main purpose of this Kickstarter is to allow me to work on Upperz full time. So far the game is going great, but I won't be able to keep working on Upperz 100% of my time without help, and that's exactly where YOU intervene!
With enough funding, I'll be able to pay for additional help to work on Upperz, as well as going through this adult thing where you need to buy food to keep on living.
Risks and challenges
I've been working on Upperz for the last 6 months.
The main mechanisms are already finished, and I'm now focusing on tools for me and the community to add content faster than a boosted Sonic, with power-sneakers on, running downhill!
I'm rolling solo on this project meaning there is some deep rooted issues. Upperz cannot progress while I'm eating or sleeping (two things I heard to be useful) But it also comes with some advantages, It's easier to deal with my own resources, backups and Steven can no longer fridgenap my food!
I'm also supported by Linkube, an Incubator here in Belgium that provides me with legal/marketing consultations to make sure that I'm not basically doing anything too stupid while handling this project.
I still have flashbacks of those times, where the couch transformed into a fort that me and my siblings would hold playing video games together. For that reason, I want Upperz to be playable within the comfort of a living room. I know I will need the approval of Sony(PS4), Microsoft(Xbox One) and Nintendo (Switch) but I'm not the kind that gives up easily and I don't see any reason why a family friendly game like Upperz wouldn't make it through.
What about a mobile version? I mean having that kind of entertainment and destructive power right in your pocket would be a dream, right? I already have a mobile version of Upperz, I use for optimization purposes, and with enough funding, I will be able to create a version of Upperz with adapted controls for mobile.
