Happy Holidays from Programming Hope: Premiere Announcement!
Programming Hope has been a long and rewarding journey, and the exciting news is that the we are very close to completion. The film has taken a lot longer than I ever would have expected, with many, many, many edits and re-edits of 100 plus hours of footage. It has been tough to make decisions about footage to include or cut in order to maintain the goals for the film.
I haven't posted many updates in a while because quite frankly telling everyone about re-editing the same scene 10 times and then realizing there isn't enough time for it, or it doesn't fit into the film anymore can be quite frustrating at times and doesn't really seem very interesting.
Now for the good news. Almost all of the score for the film from composer Chris Joye has been completed and mixed in Denver at Side 3 Studios. In case you haven't seen it, there is a nice making of video when we recorded the main theme for the film. You can check it out here:
I'm also working with some graphic designers for the "official" poster and branding for the documentary. That should be wrapping up pretty soon as well. In the mean time, I'll be continuing to work on editing down and shortening several more pieces for the final cut of the film before the premiere showing.
Programming Hope Premiere:
8:00PM SATURDAY on FEBRUARY 28TH in PLANO,TX at the ANGELIKA THEATER located in the LEGACY SHOPS shopping center
There are 274 seats in the theater and depending on your Kickstarter reward level as a backer of the film, some of you are guaranteed seats to the event. In the coming weeks we will work out an RSVP system to get an accurate count of attendance so we can have a better idea of how many tickets will be available. We would love to have a packed house!
Thank you for all of your support, prayers, and patience. We are excited to show you the film!
