"The Common Good" is a satiric cyberpunk comic taking place in Vienna, Austria. It is black and white and has 24 pages including the cover (US comic book size / 168 x 260 mm). Everything is completely finished. The goal of this campaign is to pay for production and shipping. Let's print it!
In 2035 the earth is ruled by a world government called "The Global Organisation for the Common Good". The "GOCG" wants to make everybody happy by monitoring the desires of its citizens with social media, omnipresent cameras, surveillance drones and - for those who can afford them - body implants. It's intentions might be good, but can happiness really be regulated by law? After all, it's not systems that rule people, it's people that rule people. Isn't every system prone to failure when it has the wrong leaders and the wrong enforcers?
We join "GOCG" agent Cindy Karuso as she is visiting Mr. Berger, who has not spent his designated quota for lifestyle and entertainment products for the past months. Will she manage to complete her task for the mother-state and the father-corporation by taking care of Mr. Berger? And will Mr. Berger have something to say within the process?

You want to see what you will get? No problem, here are the first three pages. Have fun!
The printed edition of the comic will be only 5 Euro plus shipping. I wanted to keep this as low as possible. If you like my work and want to support me so I can draw more comics have a look at the other packages which include several nice bonuses and goodies.
If you opt for the T-Shirt you can pick one of these four designs:
Here is a closer look at the postcards and stickers. There will be one postcard with an additional drawing that's not in the book and one with a cosplay photo. The stickers will be 40x40 mm.
The art print will show the outlines of the cover on high quality paper. The size will be A4 (210x297 mm) and I will sign it. This will look great on your wall!
A handmade drawing like this inside of the book can be yours if you select the highest tier. I'd gladly spend a few hours to make your book really special!
2300 EURO // 4 ADDITIONAL PAGES // UNLOCKED
- TWO PAGES WITH PANORAMA VIEWS OF VIENNA IN 2035. Right now the comic starts with close ups of Cindy on her way to Mr. Berger. These two pages would show her way through the city. They are not essential to the plot but would be a nice intro and give a little bit more depth to the world of "A Common Good". The drawing for the first new page is already finished:
- ONE NEW PAGE WITH A COSPLAY PHOTO of Flora. I would present it as an IMPLANTED PAD COMMERCIAL like the short video below.
And then there will be a NEW PAGE ALL ABOUT YOU! As a big thank you to all of my supporters I would design a special page with all of your names on it! (If you would not like your name on that page for whatever reasons I'd give you the opportunity to opt out of course.)
2800 EURO // GLOSSY FINISH // UNLOCKED
If we hit 2800 EURO the title and a part of the illustration on the cover could get an EMBOSSED GLOSSY FINISH. How preciousssssss! :-)
There is a great cooperation with fellow Austrian Comic "DOOM METAL KIT". If you PLEDGE € 20,- OR MORE TO EACH OF OUR CAMPAIGNS (min. € 20,- to "The Common Good" and min. € 20,- to "Doom Metal Kit") you will get an ART PRINT WITH OUR MAIN CHARACTERS, DRAWN BY MICHAEL LIBERATORE, COLORED BY MYSELF AND SIGNED BY BOTH OF US! You will get the art print together with your reward for "Doom Metal Kit".)
Risks and challenges
Like I said, the comic is completely finished and just needs to be printed. As you can see in my profile, I have already run a successful campaign for my first comic "Pest 1435". The production of "The Common Good" will be in May and the delivery in June/July 2018. Just to be extra safe, I scheduled delivery for August 2018, international shipments can be quite slow and some minor nuisance can happen anytime.
I received a lot of positive feedback for "Pest 1435". I'm looking forward to bringing another story to you!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
