We are now about two months from the Alpha release and continuing with solid progress.

Over the last month we were able to complete the following features:

  • Bézier pen for all items, as well as the ability to mix Bézier, fractal and lines for the same item.
  • Editing of shapes points: you can now move, add and delete control points and individual points.
  • Ability to create map links to other maps, images and pdf files.
  • Grid snapping for all the grid types supported.
  • Measuring tool and configurable scales.
  • Ability to add notes for all items.
  • Various improvements to GUI.

We put together a video to demonstrate some of the features completed over the last month.

February Update Demo

Next update will be in late March, and we'll also give you a date for the April Alpha release with it!

@Anna Thank you! Really looking forward to your feedback on our tools!

@Daryl When you first create a new map from selection, everything in the selection will be copied and/or scaled to the new map. Right now, adding a link between the maps doesn't alter either of the maps since they may not have been created from each other (i.e. the linked map could be a dungeon you created separately).

The “multiple views feature” will keep different views in the same map file and will have an option to do exactly what you described.

However, we will look into a good way to have an option to have a linked map update back into the “main map,” since it makes sense for maps that may have been created from each other.
      Thanks!

I can't wait to get my hands on this. When you link the components across maps, do you plan to have it update at a low-scale the contents (such as the lake/river in the island?) of it? Or initially on creation, anyway?

Great looking tools. The Measure Tool is the coolest thing I've seen in a program for a long time :)
