About this project
As I said in my project video, I am a sophomore cinema and psychology double major at Denison University. Filmmaking is a huge passion of mine and I want to start taking action with that. Last semester I made a film called Faith, which received lots of positive reviews from friends, family, and faculty. Along with those positive reviews, however, came the notion that this film is good but it can be much better. That is why I have come to kickstarter. The one thing holding this film back from being great are a few shots that came back to me out of focus. In order to get these shots I need to go back to where I shot the film and re-shoot said shots. I have already contacted the cinema equipment manager for Denison, my actor for the film, and the student whose room I used for the shoot. They are all willing to provide the services needed for me to take these shots for the film. However the one thing standing in my way of getting these shots and editing them into the film is the fact that I do not currently have the funds for the processing fees (about $150 for a 100 foot roll of film.) Now that I have decided to submit this film to a film festival I have the motivation, the need to get these shots to make my film the best it can be for the festival, but I do not have the money to make it happen. The shots that I need are shots of the Bible to make it more apparent that is what he is reading and shots of the Post-It notes so that the viewer sees what is written and the transition of the character throughout the film. So I ask you, viewers of kickstarter, to please donate whatever you can to help me make these shots happen and make my dream of becoming a filmmaker a reality. Here is the link I promised to Faith as it currently stands: http://youtu.be/LkU68JmnHMU.
