About this project
So I think it's important we know what is on the line here:
At $15: The Ambrosia Salad is being made. This is a guarantee.
At $25: I'll make the Ambrosia while wearing a Speedo. (It doesn't take much for me)
At $250: I'll live stream the making of the Ambrosia in my Speedo, to the entire world.
At $1000: I'll adopt/rescue a puppy, name it Ambrosia, and she'll assist with the making of the Ambrosia. How? Not sure, but she'll be there. All paws and cuteness.
At $2000: I'll adopt Ambrosia while wearing the Speedo, and it will live on in YouTube glory forever.
JUST ANNOUNCED: At the $25 Level, Backers Get The Official "American ASS Hat" (Ambrosia Salad Society)!!!" We're still taking suggestions on the design @ambrosiaforever
So lets get crackin!
Here's the deal: I'm Making an Ambrosia Salad. The Real American Salad.
Let me tell you a little story about Ambrosia Salad...well, let me have Wikipedia tell you because it's getting late:
Ambrosia is a variation on the traditional fruit salad...the mixture is refrigerated for a few hours or overnight before serving. Although the name references the food of Greek gods, it is widely believed to be an American dish originated in the early 19th century.
You hear that? An American dish. Can you say that about potato salad? Not necessarily. Wikipedia, hit us with that potato salad knowledge:
Potato salad is a dish made from boiled potatoes that comes in many versions in different regions of the world. Though called a salad, it is generally a side dish, as it usually accompanies the main course.
It's not even considered SALAD! Oh snap!
Fund my project! It's going to be an Ambrosia Salad making extravaganza!
Risks and challenges
I have a really nice park across the street, it will be perfect for the party. Everything else is Ambrosia Dreams!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Absolutely not. This is an American fruit salad.
Do they make an American Flag speedo? I think so.
I'm a trained EMT and know how to use an Epi Pen if needed.
No, a Waldorf has celery. We're not affiliated in any way with the Waldorf people. Frankly, we think Waldorf Salad is a bit pretentious.
