The Hub-less Pizza Cutter gives a deeper cut than any other pizza cutter!
The hub-less design allows for a deeper cut by utilizing 80% of the blade's cutting surface. Ordinary pizza cutters are limited to utilizing only 45% of their blades. The additional depth is especially helpful if you want to cut pizza with lots of toppings, or a deep dish pizza without tearing off your toppings. This also opens up the possibilities in the kitchen to use your pizza cutter on other foods such as flat breads, pasta, brownies, and other baked goods!

Grant has over 15 years of experience designing and developing products, and is currently VP of Design for an established Silicon Valley product design firm. Prior to becoming an Industrial Designer, Grant worked as a gourmet chef in some of the world’s finest kitchens. He is combining his two passions to re-imagine kitchen tools.
This is the second product Grant has planned for his brand, Turbine USA. With superb attention to detail, Turbine USA is putting quality craftsmanship back into everyday products. This award-winning pizza cutter can be used for homemade noodles, baked goods, flat breads, quesadillas and of course, for pizzas.
About the Design:
The hub-less design allows the center axis to be removed, making for cleaner, deeper cutting. An average blade with a diameter of 4 inches will cut at a depth of 1 and a half inches before tearing up and dragging toppings, due to the poor quality hub design of traditional pizza cutters. With a blade of just over 3 inches, the Hub-less pizza cutter cuts 2 and a quarter inches deep.
Meticulous Attention to Detail:
Our pizza cutter incorporates numerous design features, which differentiates it from the competition, and makes for a truly unique creation. Using specialty materials usually seen in the medical and aerospace industries, in combination with advanced engineering, this creates an indestructible, quality kitchen tool. The handles are hand cast, polished 304 stainless steel, while the use of a food grade polymer called Acetyl for the rotation point reduces drag and friction, resulting in the need for less pressure, while achieving a deeper cut.
Utilizing his experience as a product designer, Grant has already finalized most of the tools needed to begin manufacturing except for one; the tool needed for mass producing the circular blade. The blades are currently all hand turned on a lathe. Using this mix of production tooling and handmade blades has allowed us to make a limited quantity of pizza cutters to the exact quality and performance specifications we set out to achieve, all while keeping set up costs down.
This makes the cost of these pre-production units higher than in full scale production, a cost we are willing to bear to provide units to our Early Bird Backers. We have a limited quantity of these pre-production pizza cutters which we are offering to the first 110 backers. Following the campaign we will cut the final tool needed to allow full scale manufacturing to begin.

Award Winning Design:
While attending the 2015 International Home and Housewares show, the Hub-less pizza cutter was awarded a GIA award for Best Product Design alongside internationally renowned names like Alessi and Joseph Joseph.
We are very close to being complete, and need your help to go from small scale pre-production runs to full scale manufacturing. All that is needed is one final tool and pre orders so we can reach the necessary order quantities to get better pricing.
