My Dunkfish arrived in the UK this morning. Many thanks, but i see it's still not complete . This has been one painful kickerstarter backed project.. Let's hope the tea will sooth ..

My two dunkfish (dunkfishes?) arrived today. I haven't tried them out yet, but I have to say that they are really beautiful objects. I'm very glad I backed this project and I'm glad you persevered over all the production hassles. I very much appreciate how open you were with the difficulties in the process--I know it was a tremendous pain for you, but it was really educational to me.

Hi, I was wondering when we'll receive this....I still haven't gotten mine yet.

Got my Dunkfish today! It's nice. As an engineer, I can appreciate the how well the basket fits into the sealing groove in the body. And the nice stiff rib cage should help prevent the basket from getting all crushed and bent (like all my other tea baskets over the years).

The packaging seemed pretty high quality too. Nice thick cardboard that stood on its own (or could be hung from a hook). Looking forward to my morning cup o' tea tomorrow. Nice work Grant.

Hi Janene, if you had told me a year ago that this project would take so long I would have laughed. The factory encountered a problem when production started and had to make some tooling changes. The stainless steel mesh kept crimping when running through the press at full speed. They have told me production will be completed before the 30th of this month.

    14. JANene on January 22, 2013

Hey Grant.....update? we are almost at your 1 year later date since funding goal met. No doubt the production challenges were probably more than you bargained for!

    15. Grant Bell 2-time creator on December 16, 2012

Hi J, I just posted an update. Hopfully this answersall your questions. Thanks so much - Grant

    16. j wallace on December 15, 2012

Just checking in, would you be willing to send out a delivery update - I do see the comment below, but the last e-mail I received asked for shipping info and seemed to suggest that they would ship by mid November at the latest. I totally understand that you've had challenges but it would be helpful to feel up-to-date and like I know where things are at. I bet I'm not the only one wondering.

    17. Grant Bell 2-time creator on December 13, 2012

Hi Janene, production is underway as we speak. The raw material supplier took a little longer than scheduled to formulate the final material batch for production but I will have the first 1500 Dunkfish here very soon.

    18. JANene on December 13, 2012

      Any updates on delivery?

    19. Grant Bell 2-time creator on November 1, 2012

      Hi Daniel,

The coffee infuser mesh will be included with your Dunkfish. The tea tea infuser mesh is a transparent color of the Dunkfish body while the coffee mesh is a clear Tritan. This way it is easy to distinguish the two apart.

      Thanks, Grant

I saw that you are nearing the end of production/shipping. Any word on the coffee filter portion of this as well, as listed in the rewards section?

    21. Grant Bell 2-time creator on September 17, 2012

Hi Jane, We just did the first full test of the final production tools last week. There were some minor corrections which the factory has made to the tool. I am expecting to recieve final production pieces this week and will post images and an update as soon as I get them.

    22. JANene on September 17, 2012

Anybody have any news on delivery???

    23. stevehecker on July 23, 2012

I am reading your updates with fascination. Keep it up, can't wait to use your amazing piece of functional art.

      Congratulations Grant!

May Dunkfish be the first of many fun and interesting projects that bring a smile to everyday things.

And many thanks to all those who contributed to making Dunkfish a reality. The KickStarter community shows that a joint effort by ordinary people with good intentions and interest in a dream can help the dreamer's vision become real.

      Muchas Gracias...

I pledged $96 so that I get 4 dunkfish and 2 coffee baskets... is that cool?

    32. For Good Measure on January 25, 2012

I'd love to see this product made. I suspect that it might have a better seal than many of the tea infusers that I've used in the past. Fans of loose tea might really like this fun product. And tea stores might benefit from the drummed up interest in loose tea - it would make an awesome display.

      Go Grant Go!

    33. Grant Bell 2-time creator on January 25, 2012

Thanks Derek, we're down to the wire now!!

    34. Derek Kolakowski on January 25, 2012

Just upped my pledge again, wish I could go higher! (Not sure what I would do with 20 Dunkfish though)
7 hours for for $750... 210 backers raising their pledge by at least $5.00 would cover that.

    35. Sylvian Bryan on January 23, 2012

Very cool idea, I was in need of one this weekend. Good luck!

    36. Derek Kolakowski on January 22, 2012

      Two more questions:

Are there any plans for multi colored fish in the future? Like your clownfish version at the beginning of the kickstart video.

Have you named your 4 current fish? IE: Bob, Chumley, Coral, Sirena...

    37. Derek Kolakowski on January 22, 2012

Quick clarification: with the $90 pledge is it 4 dunkfish and 2 coffee baskets since the $48 pledge is 2 dunkfish and 1 coffee basket? Just want to clarify since the coffee option is huge for me!
